I am not sure yet. I want to see what they look like under/in the root mass after the grow is over to see they held up. They aren't bad at all.

Yeah, there is a few that may have to go.

We decided to add CO2 today. We ducted the portable A/C out of room. Tomorrow we will setup the other portable to just dehumidify. We ran the air pumps outside the room, hooked up a 20lb bottle with Active Air Regulator and C.A.P. PPM-3 Controller. The Active Air Regulator came with a circular "Halo" line, a hose line 15' long with pin holes distributed through it. It happened to be perfect length from wall to wall for both rooms, we just drilled a hole between the rooms and ran it. CO2 is running at 1500ppm.

The CO2 bottle setup seemed a bit too easy, lol.

Photos to come...

Yeah. I hope there isn't any issues. The STG most people are referring to are large pieces of STG with the plants cut into a hole in the middle of the buckets. They are completely different grow systems and maybe there was an issue with nutes effecting the plastic. I hope hail cubes are safe and reliable.

Checked the roots last night and lower cubes look fine. If I wasn't using the cubes I would be using some sort of packaging peanuts that don't leach into water. Although seeing the size and considering the weight of the plants. It may be difficult to find peanuts that can withstand it. Next year I will take the time to do further testing on mediums with trial and error.

I just want to make it through this grow for now!
have you thought about using bio balls? or better yet

I just found a great deal for 2000 of the 1.5" bioballs and plan to use them in my uc. It will be 6 months tho before I can report back.

In theory, they should rock.

I am not sure I like the size, may be a little large. I agree, they should work very well.

I have new photos just haven't put them up.

We got Hydrofarm Tank and Active Air CO2 System

CO2 Regulator for Hydrofarm CO2 System (.2-2 cubic feet per hour)
Tubing 20' drilled (AWESOME, little pin holes through-out the tubing)
Flow Control and Regulator
Dual Outlet Timer

Total was $300 at a local store. Sweet deal if you ask me.

It cycles on and off every 45 minutes while lights are on. Get about 6-7 days per tank. (No vapor barrier, live and learn right?)
