No hijack Tex all is good. I've got 18- 3590s running and I had planned on culling out the weak and just growing out 9 plants. Well I germinated 25 plus varieties and was able to kill or cull my way down to 13 plants. So now I'm "STUCK" with more plants than I want and I just can't seem to make myself axe a few more. They all just look so good and I'm weak. In that pic the plants are spread out but basically they all get stuffed under the light. Oh well. I will say I've never had much use for automatics but I'm really enjoying watching this three.

I really need to pull three plants but I can't muster the heart to do it. I just don't know how to pick victims of the cull. It's not like any of the are showing any signs of weakness. IDK, maybe I just keep the autos on the fringes and make sure the rest get the light I need. I guess I could pick up another 300W Timber Grow kit... I'm going to need a bigger boat.

That's so funny, I'm the same way! I had a plan for 9 plants in my 3x3 and when I had fewer boys than expected I figured out a way to keep all 11 of the girls (some are in smaller pots). And then on top of that, I had a seed I noticed popped 2 weeks after the others. I couldn't kill it even though it seemed to be growing in slow motion. I left it in a 4" pot and it's 2ft. tall now and flowering fine. I can't wait to weigh it and see what the little engine yields.

In terms of mixed lighting, I have 4 Vero 18's, (2 each) on either side of the 600w HPS in my 3x3... not because they are needed, just because I have them so why not. And I'm using a pair of lizard lights for UV with my COB set up... I can't say for sure if they're doing anything, but I've had them for a while so I use them. When they wear out I probably won't replace those.

I'm already bending, lsting, super cropping, topping, FIMing justice and I still don't have enough room. My first mistake was vegging for five weeks and my second mistake was too many plants AND not focusing my training on making the girls tight and vertical. All the time spent pruning was focused on bushy and wide rather than narrow and upright. It is what it is.
Wat up Tex? My COBS are 11 inches on center and I think I could have gone 13. Right now I'm at about 10 inches off canopy. I do have the Angelina reflectors that came with them that i never installed so maybe I should check out what one of them does for my foot print. WTH Tex I just don't have the room for the plants I have. I could shuffle the plants around a few times a day but idk. I find myself impaled on the horns of a dilemma. Rock on. Hey justice I think your looking at a Blueberry Headband or a Critical Jack both automatic and I know nadda about autos.

I've been looking into auto's recently. Yours are looking good. Oh ya looking at the other post I was talking about the blueberry headband. Nice structure to it. I hear you on all the training and stuff. Sometimes we just get too many hahaha. Atleast the auto's will finish up quick and make some more room for you if you don't axe them.

Well things seem to be moving along pretty well. First grow with LED's and went with a DIY setup with 18-3590 COBS and the drivers to go with them. I've got 13 different varieties going. I had planned on thinning them down to 9 but I didn't have the heart. I'm also using this first run to refine my training techniques. I've LSTed, Topped, FIMed, and super cropped. I'm just stunned at the density of the growth and the tightness of the nodes. I flipped at five weeks from 20/4 to 12/12 last night so off we go. I'm thinking things are going to work out just fine.

I guess I'm just excited. I generally like to keep my grows to myself as much as possible but I also think I need to share with other kindred spirits./Bone Heads.
0.0 omg thank so much for sharing ur grow is beautiful.

I tell you what budski's these COB'S are producing some of the most densely packed pots of roots and greenery I have ever seen. I'm two weeks into flower after five weeks of vegging and I still have a lot of pruning to do. I really need to just dive in with the shears and thin things out big time but I'm ascared. I know I could just ride it out and I'd be just fine but I would like maximize my bud quality and I'm willing to take a hit in the yield department. Let's see if I can single out a few for before and after pictures. I do want to thank you guys for humoring me through this grow. I know quite a bit but there are always people who really know their chit and I genuflex b4 you. TY

Looking very good Planter. Very tight dense plants. I'm running my cobs at about 14''-18'' off the canopy and still getting good results. There is something about whenever multiple cobs intersect to get that overlap that really pumps out the weight.

Is this grow going to be perpetual? Did you take clones?

Sup Tex. It's not perpetual but that's from choice budski. The last outdoor harvest was bountiful and even without this run I'll have weed until next fall IF I stop giving so much away. I have the means and MJ cuttings take so easily but I prefer seeds to clones. For me seeds have a vigor that clones can't best. Rock on

Your not kidding justice!! I see noticeable changes every day budski and the light penetration is smoking. It's a mixed soil Tex. 75/25 Promix to Forest Farm.
Question for you guys though... I'd it to late to cut out some secondary little buds hidden under the canopy. I thought I had thinned them out pretty good but the just keep going. I hope to make a bit more room and get three autos out of my light. The tricomes are as clear as a bell.

I'll thin small branches that aren't getting enough light at any point in flowering. I try to do it gradually so I don't stress the plants. That Auto looks like it could go for a few more days, maybe a week. It's hard to tell, but you want most of the tricomes to be cloudy with a small amount of amber.

Grow is still looking fire bro, gonna be some nice meds..:fire:

OK so I've done a little soul searching and have come to the conclusion that there is absolutely no reason for me to post updated pictures except for the want of a pat on the back and an Atta Boy. These COBs are the bomb. All 18 of the 3590'she are at 3500k for vegging and flower. I may add some suplimental lighting next time around just to compare.I did have to axe two Bubbledawg Herbies and I'm ashamed I missed them before they touched the sensitive parts of a couple of my girls. Looking closely I can find only limited evidence of their dirty encounter. A seed here and a seed there but how deep does it run.
