I think I’ll try to get a Monday or Friday off to have plenty of time, I’ll be giving 48 hours of darkness before harvest then when they’re ready I’m gonna trim and leave all the sugar leaves on. Then move my carbon filter to the tent either venting in the room or sealed tent depending on the. Then curing for as long as it needs
Lol I’ve been trying to prepare for that!

All at once or a few plants at a time? I staggered harvest weekly. It helped with my schedule. Not bogged down with time consuming manicure. Four plants, four weeks, one a week. Stripped fan leaves. Hung for a week to get a little crispy. Sectioned into smaller branches. Placed in sealed tub for a few days. Burping tub. Within a week, manicure and jar. Continue burping jars. Give it at least a week or two in jars before sampling. My first two plants yielded 5.5 oz. I have a third in jars awaiting the weigh in and a final plant in the tub awaiting manicure. Your choice all at once or stretched out. Most time consuming tasks was initial stripping of fan leaves and then the final manicure. Wear a mask. Seasonal allergies apply to cannabis too!

I never really thought of that but yeah I could. We’ll see how they look I’m sure some plants will look ready earlier than others so I might do it on 2 weekends. I would’ve loved to just cut the scrog net and pull my plants out rather than cut branche by branche but we’ll see.. I’m hoping for at least a pound dried! That would only be 2oz per plant so I won’t have a problem pulling that.

Pound would be nice... :smoking:

So I think one of my biggest mistakes for first grow is that I’ve been clipping leaves almost daily, sometimes pretty heavy. I know some strains need more than others and mine are definitely leafy but I’m almost sure that it’s slowing the overall growth rate. Has anyone tried to experience with different defoliation techniques on plants side by side?

No side by side, but I've always kept selective defoliation to a minimum. Initially cleaning out any over abundant fans that are gonna shade out any major bud sites. I do this when flower stretch is about done. After the stretch, and I'm happy with the initial defoliation, I usually only cut the yellowing leaves and tuck any large fans that are still nice and green. I've experimented with a final defoliation during the last week of flower. Stripped all the fans off for the final week. Didn't really notice much of a benefit other than a cleaner harvest.

Well, every time I pluck a leaf is because it’s either shading a bud or it’s touching (or about to touch) another leaf. Anyone knows how to make vaping concentrate here? I’m looking for a good recipe. I was gonna make hash with the trimmings but If I can I’d rather concentrate for the pen thingyz.

I'm in the same boat. I have a few ounces over dried quality flarfy bud from first grow. Deciding if I sift keif or make concentrate. Home recipe involves decarb and using everclear and an evaporation process. If I find a link I share it. Google cannabis everclear extraction.

Some buds are really close to touching eachother. I’m thinking that’s how they would grow in the wild so they’d be fine if I create enough “wind”. Opinions on this? No Major colas are touching, only small buds at or below scrog level.

Keep the air flowing. As long as the buds don't settle against each other think it'll be great.

Your plants look fine, your strain, mainly Sativa will slow to a crawl if you take to many leafs off, all the indica's I've grown loved a bit of rip and tear, but the few Sativa's I've grown didn't appreciate it as much.

This is getting worse and worse with time I think I might be overwatering them! New growth is affected only, big fan leaves are fine. The farthest from the light the worse it gets.
I gotta start giving them straight water too, runoff was 1880 yesterday. I want it high, but not that high so I’ll try to bring them down to what I think they can take, 1200ppm.
I think that last pic looks nice. #budporn

You may be a little high on the nitrogen, but other than that they look fine. It’s the CocoLoco together with your feedings. I would recommend not flushing yet, but good call on lowering your feed strength about 500ppm over the next few feedings. Be sure to get good run off each watering. The clawed leaves will not recover. If they don’t have any trichs or are badly clawed, go ahead and clip them. Watch the new growth for improvement.

How close is your light to the canopy?

I’ve been playing with the light lately, I tried to lower it to 20in A-Way from the closest bud but the leaves started getting discolored so I took it back up to 22in. What I’m missing is reflective walls, this is not a powerful light for 4,5x4,5. Should I cut back the Canna A + B to lower the nitrogen? Maybe micro nutes only next feeding?

Also one of my plants won’t drain until I give it a shiiiiiit ton I don’t understand but I don’t think she’s draining well, although I’m using perlite coco and elevated smartpots-_- lol. And having a lot of run off is fucking expensive lol I forgot to tell you guys U bought the Hawaiian bud and the grow more enzymes (can’t remember the name) I started the sweetener on 1/4 strength.
