Thanks I appreciate that. Its deffinately been a good learning experiance and hasn't been easy to use that restraint. Lol
I havent done a trim up since I was in my early 20's and at that time we had like 50, 6'-7' outdoor plants to do up. I'm sure this one wee little thing wont take but an hor or two lol.
The next plant will be my Zkittles in 2 or 3 more weeks. Northern lights still has a looong way to go yet.

My girls didn't seem to take as long to finish this time, but I used a high K metal halide light instead of my regular 3K with extra ref MS 1000 Sylvania bulbs. I put the 10k in and everything went crazy, changing colors and showing obvious signs of finished. The one strain that 8ve grown for decades was shorter than average, by a good 18 inches of more, although my yield was about the same. Jack Herer, the Malawi twins, GC4, and a train wreck are on the chopping block.

not a hige yeild and won't win any prizes but for my first try I'm pretty happy. Hopefully it will be around an ounce once dried and cured.
I'm going to sit here and enjoy some scissor hash.
Have a great night everyone.

Hey all haven't had much time to be online lately so sorry for the lack of updates for anyone who is actually following ;-)
update day 72

Gave the 2 remaining girls a drink on wednsday and they will be needing another soon.
Aviendha(Zkittles) is in full power bud mode. She smells very citrusy witha bit of pine and an undertone of fruitiness. With all the frost I'll get alot more useable trim than I got off Elayne(Gelato) butnI was pretty picky and only kept leaf with noticable frost on them.
Here's the remaining ladies

As far as I could tell, Gelato was ready for the jar. The larger stems bent but the smaller ones cracked but didnt break off. So I clipped all the nugs off the fat stems and into the amber glass canning jars I found at walmart. Figured the darker glass might be a good thing to keep light off.
Weight going into the jars is 52 grams
I am very well pleased with that for sure!
Very sparkly sticky buds that have a sweet, almost pungently fruity smell.
Also was able to try a small sample of a popcorn bud I left out of the drying box to speed dry. The high was nicely uplifting and energizing. Didnt experiance much if any couch lock from the tester which is what I was looking for as a daytime smoke for me.
Here's a few pictures of the nugs going into the jar.

Next generation of my garden is just getting started. Dropped into a shot glass of ro water on monday evening wednsday morning I found this,
Dark Devil auto ready for soil.
Going into a 1L starter pot with Doc bud's high brix kit soil and roots amendment. Going to try a single transplant into its final 5gal fabric pot. Growing in my 2x4x7 tent under my SP-250 led light.
Cant wait for some sweet purp
IMG 20190724 101455 7

Got the little Dark Devil Auto into the high brix kit soil Wednesday night after work. Took a litre of the cooked soil, mixed in a tbsp of the roots powder and sprinkled a pinch into the hole the seed went into. Then I dribbled about a tsp of RO water directly onto the plant site.
I'm going to try up potting one time with this one even tho some people say not to transplant an auto I figured I'd try it as the up pot is recommended with the kit.
Stuck the starter pot in the tent with the other two plants. The light is about 5' above plus its tucked beneath the canopy from the big ladies so I'm hoping it wont be too bright in there for the little devil.

36hrs later...

Well this little Dark Devil Auto is moving fast. Already starting to break the surface. Still has its helmet on so I'll keep my eye on it and help it out if needed. Misted the surface with RO water and a drip or two directly onto the helmet to hopefully assist with shedding it.

Update day 100
Good morning 420 fam.
Hopefully everyone is having a good day so far

Well my 2 plants from the original trio, Aviendha(zkittles) and Min (NL) are still going, Aviendha has started to fade out but the trichomes are still mostly cloudy not much amber. I was going to chop her last weekend but decided to wait for more amber. If no progress by this weekend I will be chopping regardless.

Min is loaded with buds but most of them are tiny flarf, she's still putting on size/weight I'll leave her go as long as possible and hope she bulks up more.

DDA DBHBB UPDATE DAY 19
Little DDA is growing up quickly, already working on node #5. Really seems to like the brix soil. Pot was dried right out monday so it got a drink of RO water with 1/4 strength transplant drench and 1/4 strength tea. 2 days later seeing no signs of unhappiness so far.

I live in a city in a state where cultivation is illegal, so 8 some odd years ago started running them, you do not run them the same as a photoperiod, in my humble opinion autoflowers are harder to grow, there fussy, bitchy, and easy to burn, and I luv em, most common problem, to much nutrients, and messed up beans, I'm growing gelato now, just finished dark devel, see pic, don't transplant put in the bag you intend to do your whole grow, for nutrients I use botanacare pro grow, for bloom nutrients I use botanacare pro boom soil mix, or atami bloombastic, in minute quantities, I'm in a 4×4 with 600w led, if you need help just yell.

I just harvested my gelato last month.
I havent found them too easy to burn. Fed my first 3 full strength advanced nutrients lineup for most of their lives. In fact I believe the early issues I exoerianced were due to under feeding. As soon as I upped the feed they got better....
Thanks for stopping by

Hey everyone. Just got my seeds in the mail and have dropped them into cups of RO water to soak for 24 hours.
My set up is a 2'x4'x7' tent running a Mars hydro sp-250 led light and a vivosun 4" inline fan with carbon filter.
Growing in 5 gal fabric pots in promix hp
I will be running the Advanced Nutrients ph perfect micro-grow-bloom as well as the hobbyist grow pkg (voodoo juice, b52, overdrive, and big bud)
My strains are Gelato auto, Zkittles auto, and northern lights auto from seedsman.
Please feel free to jump in with any comments, suggestions, tips or photos to help me along the way.
Excited to start growing my own supply.
Thanks for joining me on my journey.

For future reference & from experience I can tell you it’s better to plant AF seeds straight into the pot you plant to grow them out in. Otherwise you can stunt their growth. Also, it’s easy to damage the sprouted seeds in a transplant. Hopefully this grow will work out great for you anyhow😉

UPDATE Aug 23

Northern lights auto (day110) has been braced up with bamboo stakes and garden wire to combat the weight. Still seeing some white hairs so will let it keep going. The more it bulks up the better

Dark Devil auto (day 29) got some LST 4 days ago and is taking off. Did my second watering on monday with Growth Ionic drench and tea. Als, following the kit's chart, I did my first Foliar feeding with the recommended dose of Destress Foliar spray on Wednesday. Judging by the pics I took tonight she's a very hapy girl and is loving the kit's magic.

New to the tent is this M.O.B Auto (mother of berries)
Popped the seed into a shot glass of RO water on the evening of the 18th and into my kit soil on the 21st.
She came up yesterday looking teeny tiny and with only one cotyledon leaf. Lights just came on and I can see the first itty bitty little blade leaves starting but it just seems so little. Should I be worried about this one? As long as it doesnt die or turn male I'll let it go tonsee what's what but it is by far the tiniest little canna seedling I've seen.

Lastly is a knife I just finished up. It is a Slipjoint folder in a Lanny's clip pattern. Made from damasteel (stainless damascus) with stainless hardware and gorgeous blue mammoth ivory scales.

Update Aug 28

Well the last of my original 3 got the chop last night. Northern lights is now on the drying box.
Some very nice looking buds and alot of sugar shake and flarf for oil, edibles, etc etc. My tent looks sooo empty now lol.

From here on all of my plants will be in the High Brix kit

DDA day 35
Really doing great, loving life and getting bigger every day. LST is going great, she's really bushing out. Starting to see a bit of purple starting on the very tops.

M.O.B auto day 8
Still looking pretty tiny but slowly getting bigger. Can just se the beginnings of the next set of leaves. Looks healthy but growing quite slowly. Would the missing cotyledon leaf be a cause for the slower growth?

Now it's time to start thinking about what I want to pop next. I'll be waiting a bit to let M..O.B get bigger.
