First grow, self build grow closet with cfl lighting

Way to go blues frog. rock the closet. Doing great for the first couple of runs. As time passes it will become second nature. They sell 300 watt CFL's at Home depot for about 20 bucks. They also sell 2 bulb tek5 fixtures in 2 foot, 3 foot and 4 ft for around 15-26 bucks. Just a heads up you just want to get good bulbs for the tek5's as they are the wrong spectrum. With cfl's you want them close to the plants. CFL's lose ALOT the farther you get away from the plants. Makes them want to stretch. Keep a little fan (radio shack 120mm computer fan wired up to a 12v wall adapter) and they will be gravy. Just a suggestion other then that rock it.

I am trying to find a supplier for the NLite Sabre range of lights, but I have had no success. They can hang vertically among your plants.

I don't know if you've heard of Doctor Who, but my closet is like a Tardis, bigger on the inside than on the out.

I have no plan for packing them in, and sometimes I get 2 or 3 that don't fit, and have to re-arrange them all. Its a lot of work, but its been well worth it so far, and with some of the strains I got now its getting better.

Not sure the Early Misty likes the bottles, but the Lemon Cheese loves them, and I have great hopes for Widow, NL5 x Haze, Alaskan Ice, and a random sativa bag seed, supposedly Hawaiian, all of which should do well in bottles. I have just put 4 more Lemon Cheese into the flower room, all 4 in a 5 litre water bottle, cut down to about 4 litres. Bit of an experiment, 4 in one bottle, all the same height, same no. of nodes.

Got a new toy. These are my first photos.

I was bought a USB microscope today by my wife, so here are some first pics of a plant I'm just about to harvest and dry. Grown in a 20oz bottle under flourescents.

Latest update on my grow

Well, it's been a while, but I have had lots on. Here is my current stuff in flower, got a lot to do at the mo with spring nearly here. Going away for a few, and when i get back I will have to start cloning for my garden plants for the summer.

They are at various stages of growth and flower. The white widow and magic bud (the two that look the frostiest) are at 7 and 6 weeks into flower respectively. I expect the widow to finish at 9 wks and the magic bud about the same. The trichomes will tell me when.
I've not let any go as long as i should so far, so these two will be my first that i've let get to 2/3 amber.
I cannot wait to try the widow tho. It smells beautiful.

I am gonna bring this thread to an end. Will start another one very soon. Have a couple of new contenders, and logic said he gonna put some seeds inna post so its all goooood. Gonna start a thread about my quest to build a bubble cloner and a modular aeroponic bucket system, but that may take a while due to severe lack of anything, funds, smoke, seeds, parts, ec wand, nutrients. Oh well. Sometimes life is shit.
