First Time 12 Site Ebb And Grogro

I'm crossing my fingers I won't have humidity issues. I should have access to a dehumidifier if it becomes an issue.

Does this sketch make any sense to you? Have your timer shut off both intake and exhaust fans when you run the co2. Since the light exhaust fan is ducted outside the tent you can keep running that fan to cool the lights while the other fans shut off when you run the co2. Hopefully your temperature and humidity does not get crazy high when the fans are off. View attachment 583136
How long would you suggest c02 on times be set for and fan off times? And how many c02 feedings? I don't have any environment controllers or a budget to pick any up this go around. So I will be strictly using timers and monitoring.

I would suggest holding off on the co2 until you have all the proper controllers. If you grow with how your setup now you should be ok without co2. This way you can get a feel for your setup and go from there. If you try to run co2 on a timer your gonna blow through the tanks $$$, especially when the room is not completely sealed.

I dig what you are saying. I will put this into consideration.

I have the ladies transplanted (6 of the 12). We will see if the other 6 seedlings can show some more development prior to tansplanting. Currently I have 40 gal. approximately. I mixed 12tbsp of sugar daddy. I also mixed 12tbsp of root 66. This should help root development as well assist with the transplanting shock. Ppm is a little over 400 but I am kind of stuck until my filtration shows up. I have read people running 600 ppm and showing decent results, so I am hoping this won't be too much of an issue for about a week. Stay tuned I will post you folks with some pictures.
Your all good my man. And you have a serious setup for sure. I can't think of anything else you would need except maybe a water chiller for the rez. I keep mine around 65• or try to. Considering you're using tap atm all of the 600 isn't from nutes and it doesn't sound like you have much N in the solution so I say your good. If you want you can always dilute it and save your solution by scooping it out with a pitcher and running some fresh cool water in there to top it back off. You can also just freeze a couple jugs of water and it will cool it and displace two gallons of solution you take out to lower ppm. When you start using your RO you'll notice the water comes out fairly warm for your system, around 79•-80• which is too warm so you'll have to lower it somehow. I suggest adding frozen jugs only because it's easy, cheap and won't throw off your pH like just putting ice in there will. Does your ppm meter have a temp reading on it? That's going to be key because the water gradually warms as it passes through your sites. Also I would only feed once a day until you have a decent amount of roots established. You got a great deal man and worth the headache for sure. And you spent your money wisely and still have some leftover! Best, Irie.

The res is in a cool basement sitting on a cold concrete floor. I haven't done a temp reading. I will see if I can find a probe to measure the water temp. I could invest in a water cooler next cycle, if need be, and a nice controller.

Today is going to be day three since I transplanted into the buckets. I'm still on a reservoir of root66 and sugar daddy. Simply focusing on root development at the moment with this mixture.

You could start your co2 5mins on 1 hour or something like that the last few weeks use no co2

I decided to get 1 gallon ph up and 1 gallon of ph down. I would say anyone that is reading this journal and considering using a similar grow system don't even waste your money on the small ph up/down. Well I might not need the ph up in that size, but ph down I would definitely suggest. Also it was cheaper (it got me free shipping) for me to order the two 1 gallons than ordering ph down now and finding out further down the road I need ph up too.

Day 4 in buckets. Ppm has raised to 515. Ph is at 5.8 still using the same reservoir of root 66 and sugar daddy. Trying to keep on this same res. until my new ro system shows up.

C02 system is here, filled tank for just a little over $10. Check to see if you have a fire supply company in your area, the gas fill company wanted to take my brand new aluminum bottle and give me one of their ugly used up tanks (very sketchy), I went with my gut and said no thanks, and they wanted like $40 almost. Made a few calls and a beer brewery told me to check out the fire supply chain. I love the shiny aluminum tank, looks so much classier and professional than those rented out used tanks.

Day 5 in buckets. Still using the same reservoir of root 66 and Sugar daddy's. Had to add ph down was at 6.1, I dropped it to 5.4. Ppm is 521. Still trying to hold out until my ro system shows up. It should be here Wednesday. Here are a few shots I took today. Hope this is turning into a good show for you friends. I do apologize if I'm super amateur at this, but I'm striving for perfection. So feel free to speak up, bash, critique, criticism, opinions, please share them.

Hey just a heads up on that co2, i would do a run without it. If you have problems co2 will exacerbate them. You will be chasing issues youre only having due to increased plant metabolism. Co2 will only help if you have everything else in check. It will likely take you a couple of runs in that space before you have everything in check. My opinion but i think you could easily push things too far with the co2.
