Sorry I'm drinking a mickys. As I cannot smoke flowers in the summer because I work for the union. It totally blows during my work season

I have never heard of that...although I do recognize that the older the mom is the faster the clone blooms....and finishes....but there is a max....but I have never seen a clone change at all through generations....of cloning....I have however seen a clone react and flower completely differ when exposed to differ elements such as but not limited to (nutrients, light, soil, hydro, indoor vs. outdoor, organic) just to name a few....as well as temp and RH....but the clone itself stays true to the original seed unless infected with a virus/disease....
I also dont usually clone for sex....I clone to keep a genetic replica. I allow the plant to sex itself...when he or she is ready.....by that time it is ready to flower....I dont do scrog unless I am using a clone....and I dont really do any kind of training to seeds....I top that once and let them grow natural so I have a clear understanding of the structure of the overall plant...Which will give me a good idea on what to do for said plant to maximize flower production

So it sounds taking cuts from a old mom is good or bad. How old is too old? How do u run your mother's?as the mom ages her hormones are much stronger....on the verge of flowering....so when you root the clone...and throw it under 12/12....it literally will go into flower in about 7 days
as for growth structure....I look for the way the brances develop and how bushy and heavy they get....flower development and smell...are they lanky and floppy....or is the plant super stocky....nodes are spaced or compact....smell.....stickyness....large or small trichomes....and what type of effects the finished product generates....that is if it passes all the other tests.....
I agree 100% I've stumbled through growing for years. Just started the forum thing and wish I had before.@Midwestjay ....thanks for the compliments....I appreciate it.....as a grower I try to be as transparent as possible.....I want as many people doing this as simply and easy as possible....no hidden technique or anything....as I have no money motive....I want every and anyone to enjoy this amazing creation of mother nature....
for all my questions I have had to dig for info and then use trial and error....and experimentation and have come up with the techniques that I use today.....I feel these forums should be about sharing knowledge on this plant ....but alot of times I find just the opposite....misinformation rhetoric and regurgitated falsehood ....it is dishartening .....again thanks for the compliment
I think I would be in a worse state had I not used this forum before I got going with this.I agree 100% I've stumbled through growing for years. Just started the forum thing and wish I had before.
Wow this Android slaughters everthing I textUhh. U meant I've read that it might take multiple cloning generations for a strain to show it's full potential genetically. It totally didn't make sense but I take everything with a grain of salt and thought that's what I were saying too. :/
