Actually in coco soil water ph is more important since coco reacts different from traditional peat base soils. Soil PH is important but coco loco is pre buffered so as long the feeds stay with in 5.8-6.3 the soil PH “should” stay close on run off tests.
Yeah I just read from the beginning that he’s not using soil. My bad🤦🏻 yeah everything else besides soil needs to be ph’d first and check run off.

I have a 2x4 tent and with 2 auto's after 6 and a half weeks they have filled the tent up. Also 1200 ppm is way to high for seedlings I'm only feeding mine in coco loco 650ppm.

Wow that’s impressive. Looks like I’ll have to convince the old lady to

Plants looking nice man. How can I get the ppm down I have well water with the water softener. But I get water straight from well lower ppm and ph. Boiling? Dilution with a couple gallons of RO water.? Any advice

Yeah I’m in coco, I’ve been using water ph’ed to 6.1 for the seedling. Plan on checking run off soon. Just haven’t watered that heavy as of now.

Nice little rule of thumb told to me long ago, autos never go over 600ppm it becomes a waste of nutes
I agree, this is my first grow in coco loco and auto's and have been measuring the pH and ppm run off and

Flush with ro water, or if your well water is a low ppm use it. You can also buy distilled water. But put enough water thru to have it run out. I feed when my plants water run off ppm is lower. I'm still learning coco loco so this is a trial and error thing. My last run off was 400 and i fed them 650 ppm and that took them to high 800 run off. To fix all I do is not feed them for x number of waterings and when the ppm goes low I feed. Not sure if that is correct but it's working for me.

And my nutes are.
Gn flora series, cal-mag, silica, hydroguard.
For flowering I'm using Lucas formula.
1 part silica wait 20 mins
1 part cal mag
1 part micro
0 part grow
1 part flower
1 part hydroguard

Good luck and remember document your grow.

So you monitor the ph and ppm of the RUNOFF. And flush as needed correct?

Yes every run off and not really a flush just water it and check the run off to see if it needs nutes the next watering. But at 1200 I would pour thru a lot to get the ppm down.

Little update:

Lol I was confused the two reading
I was reading the ec of 1.4 I believe.
My ppm off my Tap with the water softener is 700ppm ph 8.2

My ppm from direct well is 800
Ph at about 8.5

I’m about 12 days since sprout

The next feeding I’m going to check runoff ph and ppm

Day 15 since sprout
Added no nutes yet accept micro doses of the
Silica, cal-mag,Micro,grow,bloom

Recently tested runoff all were around 1800 and 6.3ph flushed them down to 1200 plan on doing another light flush since it just starting 3wk veg.
Strange thing is I’ve been reading about the optimal ranges for ph and ppm and EC in coco coir/ loco and the two plants that were bigger and looked healthier were around 2000 ppm and ph runoff was 6.5… but this just a update and some pictures

And if anyone has some advice on getting a bigger yield, more trichome production and tips for late veg stage I’d appreciate it. or a good thread for defoliation vs non-defoliation and lolipopping vs non-lollipopingvice versa

For bigger yield you LST and SCROG.

Update
day 28
Been feeding bottled nutes and organic both at half strength.
18-6 light schedule
Watering every other day about half a gallon
Runoff was at 1500 preflower stage.
Coco ph in 6.3
Just installed a Scrog net
turned bloom switch on
Using a molasses foliage spray
Bought massive bloom by green planet. Gonna introduce them to it but going to flush the medium first

I understand, that makes sense. from what I’ve read and seen it supposed to be beneficial for autos to grow in 1 pot and not be transplanted. I guess no better teacher than experience right. I’m seeing that a lot of people have opinions and their own experiences. That where it gets a little confusing for me. I’m just going to keep it simple and not overdue it. And deal with problems as they arise if any. More than 1 way to skin a cat.

I seen your grow man! the plants are looking nice! Awesome job. How many weeks?
Are they flowering yet?
That’s true because there’s not much recovery time with them. I will say though with the right setup u could start in solo cups and then Switch over to your permanent home. If you do it within a week or two

Don't mix auto strains bc the taller strains will force u to raise your light and smaller strains will suffer, that's allot of light for a small tent, autoflowers do better, much better under blue green light not full spec bc it has red and ir in it, this will cause your auto's to flower prematurely and dwarf out, keep it simple humidifiers are more trouble than worth put a pot of water in tent and let it evaporate, as for food go light, recommend botanacare pro grow 30ml per USgal fill a 16oz cup of water add a small splash and feed, for bloom enhancer Atami Bloombastic same drill but go lighter than the botanacare or you will burn them, autoflowers are not photos and require much less nutes, ALLSO do not transplant as they hate stress, just go simple feed light and don't stress them

Update

Day 52 since seeds were planted.

Conditions staying pretty consistent at 40-50rh
And 74-82degrees Fahrenheit

Been watering about 2-3 days apart. Ph’ing To 6.2 doing runoff test every 2-3 weeks. Ppm at around 1600.

I have seen that there is some orange crusty build up on the side? Maybe over feeding them? Calcium build up. 1 leave here and there getting rust spots here and there, since I added the extra medium. But overall all plant leaves are nice and green no pests damage. I’ve been checking under leaves and on stems and in soil I can’t find no larvae in soil. So hopefully we’re good there. Trying to be diligent still while in its close to finishing.

2 of the 6 Plant stems are purple. But I’m not really seeing any deficiencies.
Feel like it’s taking awhile for buds to fatten up but if look at previous pictures I can definitely tell lol. Just not seeing the veg stretch or pre flower explosiveness. If anybody has any ideas on the fabric pot buildup or the purple stem and can spot the deficiencies I would appreciate it

The stuff on the side of your pots is the nutrients you’re adding to the water. If you’re concerned with it, spray it with a peroxide/water mix (1:4 peroxide/water ratio).

Would love to see the plants without a blurple light :p
