hey @Aqua Man / @MIMedGrower ,
My rootballs tend to look like his that he posted above. To you guys, does that look healthy? Does it look like it wasn't watered correctly? if you can tell. Im just trying to get an idea of healthy roots. Some people got some MAD THICK nice white looking roots, mine are always dark and covered in soil like that, are we doing something wrong? Or is it because were in FFOF\happy frog instead of CoCo?

The roots look like they permeated the soil and grew into a proper root ball. I usually go a bit longer until i see some outside swirling. They do that after the pot is full when watered properly.

But in my opinion when you see too many thick white roots circling the bottom and sides of the rootball in only a couple weeks i think its from watering too often. The roots need dry time to search all over for moisture and nutrients. That makes a dense rootball.

Thanks for info

Yeah lots of knowledge here. This has been a great place to learn dont think my plants would have lived or made it this far with out everyone's help. Any new growers will have great help from this post.

Who can recommend a light timer. I can not use my old one cause the new lights have 3 prongs. So if anyone has a heavy duty one they use and works please let me know.

Have you used the first ones? I was reading the reviews shit scared me. So if you had then I'll trust them.
Nope, i havent! I use the GE One, the 6 dollar one, I didnt check the reviews. You can really use any of the ones offered on amazon, of course if their 3 pronged.
