Third group, cuttings in tap water and darkness.Kinda but not really because then half the plant is still photosynthesizing and processes between that and the calvin cycle differ. Not rocket science but not so simple either its not something thats easily quantifiable.
I've tried both. It's basically when I have the time to get to them, so sometimes the 24 can turn into 48 hours.24 or 48?

100% ^^^I don't.
1- I want as much moisture out of the plant as I can get when I harvest
2- Plants generally uptake water and nutrients during lights on, so with the lights off, it may just be soggy soil and extra humidity in the tent.

Who flushed for weeks while the buds are still growing? Not me. One week tops after the bud swell.what sort of noticeable improvements? Would this not slow down growth during the later weeks?
