Flipping the lights off right before harvest?

Results are in, used two plants, control buds cut last midnight after six hours darkness. Covered buds with black bags had 48 hours on the plants, cut this morning. Third group was cut 48 hours ago and put in water and total darkness until now. No question in my mind that the trichs are bigger and even cloudier after 48 hours darkness, either on the plant or in water.

good to know that 48 hrs is a fact n no longer a myth...lol

I leave my plants in darkness 72 hours before chopping, the theory is the plant will frost up more, dont really know if true but very old habits are hard to break.

I could try 72 hours, plenty of plants left, but its somebody elses turn to play madscientist.

$100 bucks from California Light works......Comes with a T8 and covers 16sq feet.

better yet...you can do both UVB+48 hrs of darkness...sounds like a recipe for success 😂

Finished 24 hr dark. Wanted to do 48 but my thrichs were pretty amber before I turned the lights off.

Notable colour enhancement in 24hrs. Buds that were not purple turned, ones that were darkened.

this is the only real difference I witnessed thc/terpines to hard to tell.. I mean I was dicing up some big fruity buds so hard to tell as my head was already blasted.

thrichs didn’t seem to grow or cloud out any more or less. Under 90x
