Those budz look really fat, winning method for u:)
Thanx Krasi! hope you like John Buttler Trio ....enjoy

Yeah they did chunk up real wide :) putting my thumb and first fingers together on both hands still can't get around the biggest colas, very dense nuggety strain, and HEAVY!!! i've had colas like these in the past but most are noticeably heavier for their size....extreme resin content maybe ??!! hope so....
Got a shot of that average sample i took the other day, nearly dry :) and a couple of trunk porn shots......no the plants trunk not mine hehe and thanx to the handy cam timer i got a neat shot of the roots for you

Interesting- when I see the roots you lifted out of the water, they're telling me they could use some more room and more circulation of water through them. So, I can see extra yield here in the future... as if you were hurting in that department as it is, lol.

Plants talk to you too huh :p they have alot to say sometimes! there is still some more room underneath, but yes i believe something larger could be beneficial. i was thinking a wider square pot setup something that would allow more side root growth, that would also give me some more vertical space. I have to do some looking around
It is hard to get 100% of all the water circulating on the bottom of the return bucket, but it does get replaced every 2 hours so i guess it doesn't really stagnate.

a closer look inside my crystal cave ;)
chopped all the large colas down today, couldn't trim more, everything is much to sticky, so i'll do a final manicure when they go into jars to cure.
be sure to click images for close-ups!!!

Yes, they talk to me all the time. I am stupid, however, and I don't hear what they say very well. I'm not knocking your setup in any way- clearly, it produces the goods- it just looked to me like that root mass could certainly have benefited from having more volume. Since you flood and drain this every two hours (correct?) bigger roots would be fully flushed every time, just as these have been.

No way you are stupid! don't be hard on yourself man, i'm still learning lots at the same time, so any observations or queries is greatly appreciated! it makes me research and want to know more....google is my best friend......nearly pornhubs probably up there to :p
no sure what you mean by bigger roots would be flushed everytime...? at the moment i'm thinking that seeing this is more or less a 'hydropnics' system the small space that the roots are taking up down the bottom is fairly minimal compared to what's up top in the main bucket, the perlite acts as a high oxygen ratio medium so it's very similar to that of an aeroponic system, so a 'medium' is not entirely necessary, more so just for support and being a stable compound easy to work with. I will be doing some more reading and asking my mentor if he knows anything about this....I have seen bigger setups with bigger pots.....ie: half wine barrels...
but for my small veg time i will have to research some more to find out. I don't even know enough about my system, it's quite hard to find valuable information on it actually.

Thanx both you guys :) dry weight is a little way off still i'm struggling to keep the room at 18 degrees. c. (64*F)
chopped the colas down yesterday to a smaller size, everything should dry really nicely, humidity is down to 70% so alot of moisture has left

looks like some perfect bud bro. interested to hear the dry weight for the girl when ya know.

neverbreak.

Not a problem mate, just keep an eye on the thread, she moves fast sometimes, the dry weight will be in a few days time, i never rush :) i got plenty of old backup, even from my 2nd 3rd and 4th grow :p oh and a bit of home grown outdoor as well, so things happen fast, but get smoked slowly ....

O man hope you don't mind to download theese pics for my desktop :p :)

Go for it man, i hope they are still nice quality, sometimes these sites downgrade them quite a bit. :( my originals are great at over 24 inches in size :) great poster jobbies

Sweet job all around on the pic's & nug's!!

Thanx mate! i'm pretty happy with her, and got a bit of a surprise :p this little girl came from the last girl i grew ;) i have been slowly growing her under a 10 watt desk flouro in a bed of perlite on very VERY mild grow formula. I had 2 this had the most roots and even branch elongation.

Grow no. 5!!!
