Hey all!

Any recommendations on flushing with a single bucket 5 Gallon DWC?

What would be a good way to flush, just water, any pre-flush agents?

Cheers!

Use a flushing agent for 24 hours, then dump it, and fill with plain water for at least 3 days.

I like to lower the ppm about half way one week before I flush. IMO it uses up any excess Nutes. Then for the actual flush itself I've used the products, and as long as you haven't over fed just plain water works fine for 3 to 5 days before you cut down.

I don't run h2o2. I've tried in the past and never had great results. The best way to keep roots fresh is to keep res temps low. Next best thing I've found is hydroguard. But you can't run h2o2 and hg at the same time. h2o2 will kill the h2o2. But long as I stay around 70° res Temp I don't have problems. Do you have slime? And bubbles, idk if u started with a kit that comes with a lil aquarium pump, but I run a 900+ gph air pump. EBay has them for around $30

So I have two air stones. My tea temp is at 69, I clean it once a week I run RO with cal mag, GHNova, and ppm are low like 300. This week a I substituted SM-90 for my h202 to see if it worked better(claims made by my hydro store, of course) and my roots browned and slight stink.

I'm not familiar with sm90 but that all sounds good minus the brown and stink. I really like hydroguard. It keeps nice white roots. What size air pump are you running?

45 liters per min. I'll usually put 1 no per gal every 2 or 3 days. I'm starting to think could be because of my bites. Of just because I'm not in RDWC and everyone else is and has the h20 movement

Looks like you're keeping the water level a lil high. I like to keep it right below the net Once i have roots showing the bubbles popping will bring the roots into the water. . I promise a bottle of hydroguard will work fine. 2ml per gal at every change. And thats a big ass plant for that size roots. Was it a clone? Also I've been in a rdwc it produces monsters but requires way more attention till you get used to getting the flow right, also the water pump produces heat, and I requires a lot more water and Nutes. But all that being said they produce monsters.

New water level on dwc: half that of the hanging length, approx 2 inches.

Room 77 water 69

Cutting base media: soil cube from clone dome
It has been dwc for 1 month.
It's being fed 300ppm cal mag.100ppm GH.Nova grow, a little Armor-si,liquid seaweed. (and I have voodoo juice)

Added 2 more stones.

Went from: 170 cfl watts
To: 400 hid watts

My advice would be lower level to bottom of net. And add hydro guard. Maybe some one else knows better

I think u set me straight, I lower my h20 level, increase to a real veg light and added two more air stones. The Root growth double over night and is whiter than my Mothers-sisters-husband.

Have a look

Its also good to flush the wool/root crown with clean water when you do a change. It helps gets rid of any build up. But just keep that water about 1" below the net and your pH right and she'll respond. Also make sure container is completely light proof.
