Sorry to hear that man, strep throat sucks and the whole house has it!? Lots of movie time in the house the next few days :D I'm sure the doc also mentioned it is very contagious

I've gotta say, up to this point raising the skirt way up hasn't helped me a bit, my yield has gone the other way actually.

I think it's more to increase air flow and reduce the risk of pests/disease. It also helps the plant direct energy to the bigger buds making them full/dense
