Idk what that guy is talking about because it’s a load of BS notice he doesn’t even have any pictures. Nothing is going to actually change the flavor no matter what you give your plant all you can really do is enhanced the flavor of the strain your growing.
Some things that can help is using molasses. Making sure your plants are getting enough macronutrient & micronutrients nutrients. There is stuff on the market to like bud candy which is just Grape & Cranberry extract water with sugar.
Letting your medium dry out really good before harvesting, lowering temps before harvest. Not flushing before harvest.
I stress the living shit out of my plants before harvest seems to help lol

Its as easy as trying it yourself. Idk how to send you a picture of the smell of weed so idk why pictures matter. Especially when i said i created this account solely to reply to this comment because its something i HAVE DONE. Theres plenty of evidence of scented things impacting the smell of the cannabis. Whether it be a more woody/ or pine smell from the soil or when you get some weed and it smells like neem oil. And for the other guys response, yea i bet growing some weed thats watered with skunk spray would smell different than if it was grown with plain water. Why the fuck would i be googling this stuff if i havent done it with actual results from it. I wanted to see if anyone else has tried it but i guess other than the OPs coworker, no one really has.

You can literally just try it for yourself dude. Why would i sit here and try to lie or bs people for no reason?

I'm with you on this topic Murphy, and also created an account just for this thread. Here's what I do:
After clipping the colas, being sure to leave extra length of stem, I mix some Gatorade which I buy on Amazon in a 76 oz. can that makes 5 gallons, and put some of the Gatorade into a vase. I then arrange the colas so the stems are in the liquid and the buds supported by the sides of the vase. It's basically just like flowers we buy for our ladies on that Hallmark holiday. I'll leave them in there for up to a week before moving on to the drying process. You'll see the inside of the stems change color as the colas draw that liquid up. 100% does change/enhance the flavor profile.

Next round I'm gonna try something other than Gatorade to avoid the electrolytes, aka salt. Kool-aid or even straight fruit juice and see what that does.

To all the naysayers here, don't be afraid to step outside of your boring, same old everyday norms and experiment a little. Try something new with 1 plant or 1 colas from each harvest. But most of all don't say something doesn't work if you've never tried it, you're putting your ignorance on public display for the whole world to see

but why would you want to smoke Gatorade?

Hey farmers I was talking to a guy at work and he said that leaving strawberries in his water when he grew (didn’t break rule 1 and tell him I am), made his bud taste and smell like strawberries. Is there any truth to this or just a placebo?

Has anyone tried this themselves? Did it work or just act like reg water?
I have done it I've used mango nectar and watered all my plants and converted all my plans into mango smelling aroma tasting strong THC strength.

I wish the plant would take up aroma molocules but it can't unfortunately.

Well whatever you guys did you guys did it incorrectly, cuz I managed to make my own strains every single year and make my own seeds from that plant with no problems.

Just use black molasses (tiny amount) in water with a root booster. All it does is amp up nutrient intake by pumping the soil bacteria. It risks fungus and fungus gnats though. I don't think it's more than a "5%" boost to anything at all.

I know this is an old thread but first thing comes to mind is the movie idiocracy "it has electrolytes" lmao

Hey how come the stand out supporter is a "co worker"? From an account that spontaneously came to defend it?

If you make your own soil mix and add all types of things into it your plants will come out amazing.

Absolutely nonsense

Well I can't help somebody that don't want to help themselves. Have a good day 😭🤣
