if you ever see nutrifield coco it's pretty much the same as cana, even the fonts on the bag are same, they come out of the same factory, and are rhp certified, not sure about pricing down there in cali but in washington its a lot cheaper then cana, up here in washington canna coco is $23 bucks a bag, no deals at all, well unless you spend $1k then you can get 10% off.
Whats up Goo hows everything buddy? Canna coco is some quality stuff for sure bro. I myself have never had root aphids or any other nasty pest like that from Canna. I have used it probably 6 or so runs total so thats my experience. A trusted hydro store guy I've known a while said any pest issues involved with coco products has to do with improper storage, likely by the hydro store itself. Storing outside on palets or in a pile in a corner or some shit. I have never pre-treated my coco for incects, I get a few gnats and thats it.
I have used the Botanicare Cocogrow "high pith coco coir" and it is some very nice stuff. It is exactly the same pith as Canna. I get the same excellent results with it as I do with Canna. It is 8 or 9 bucks cheaper than Canna and you get 1.75 cu. ft. instead of 1.5 with Canna. I'm on my fourth bag of it and would say its well worth going with it over Canna. It is pre rinsed and buffered. I don't even preload, just plant straight into it and water lighly. then hit it with a little soaking 2 days later. 100% satisfaction.

There is a new brand I am liking so far, Dutchman coco by sanctuary soils. 2.0 cubic feet and no need to wash it. Very good 1st impression. Very clean, clones panted straight into it have no burning or deficiencies. Will share more if it proves the test of time. I say this because I remember reading another member reporting high ec runoff. Not the case for me.
