I too am an LED fan but not so sure Apache produces the "best" fixture...kinda soundin' like you are employed by em' lol...

I don''t work for them. Just been using them for a long time. I used a stealth grow originally when I got into led's. then got AT's.

Interesting opinion...you are the first to ever question their quality. Can you elaborate on why you you think that. Price is understandable...but quality and performance are unmatched.

I do believe that some top notch diy rigs can compete...and that is why I am building one. CXA panel/system. But it's not really too much cheaper in the end. But on paper it could be the best out right now.

1st off let me say your shit is dialed in (although I guess we all continue to dial) and they are really working for you...fucking beautiful plants!
That comment was just me pokin' a stick at ya' and kinda snide sorry ...good on ya' for buying U.S.!! There are not many choices at the moment. I buy Advanced and love the light the service is straight up stellar...lol, no I dont wok for em...but I Have never owned an Apache so I wont fuck with ya';) at least until my Loompa gear shows up. Ill doc. the run and youll have something to shoot back at lol
It is my opinion that, yes, led tech is improving...a diode is a diode. I believe the race at the moment is more the lensing and how they direct the wave.
I do kno that I was thinking the same thing...Build one. Its all about the parts you can actually source and procure...have u seen the one SupraSPL shower a pic of in the "best led" thread?? Looked pretty sweet.

I'm greengenes707 over at RIU. Supra is a regular and a diy master. I have read all his and other highly educated users threads on them.
I have all the parts and am literally building it tonight. But to run them at top performance they are still on the expensive side. Then if you were to factor in a business overhead...the end retail price wouldn't be much different from the top names currently. But with the new cobs it is very easy and simple to pack great efficiency and out put into a compact 30w-100w chip.

There is a channel for my you tube. and I will do a build video for it. as well as keep documenting my current run. SO I will get to see how the diy does in real life for me, not just on paper. Really pumped to get that going.

Test results are in And they are just like 3 years ago's results, and what I expected. What I was very happily surprised by the potency of both. It's all potent as hell...but there is slight differences that are present...

Biggest thing to me, other than the obvious THCa, is that limonene isn't even detectable on the hps...but is solid in the led.

Just about to harvest another run. 100% LED's. 2 at600's over the 4x8, and a 372w DIY I built in the far right corner. A really solid run this round. Pic says it all...
