Thank you yes seems to be the key for me getting the N feeding down in flower
I need to give more N in flower. My poor GDP Autos were soooo pale at the end.
(have to admit, by the time they were flowering I was spending all my time with the photos out back.)(poor things)
Tried to find a pic, but I don't think I took one 'cause I was too embarrassed. LOL

I smiled when you mentioned you are finally getting the N feeding down in flower : ) that so far has been the hardest thing for me is the pre load for the stretch (and I kill seedlings but I dont want to talk about that LOL)

I've been thinking about this for a while, as well. For me, it's a question of when (or if) to reduce the N. The flower buds need N (and other good stuff) to grow, so why would we want to reduce N? I've heard N can make weed taste bad, but I haven't found support for that idea. I'd agree that nutrients could impact flavor, though. I haven't tried feeding N till harvest to see what it does. I usually stop feeding most nutrients about a month before harvest. That way, N and other nutrients are reduced gradually and naturally.

Yeah man I’ve heard the same thing! and if it weren’t for some of the members here id probably be trying to flush my soil grow two weeks before harvest LOL! But im all game for those thought out feedings that decrease nutes and what not, one size does not fit all. My current flowering run is going to get some heavy N or at least what I think it’s needing, up to harvest. I’ve read captspalding not having any issues with taste after dry and cure and he hot rods the shit out of his plants : )

For me it’s just finding that fine line so the damn things dont eat themself a month and half into flower! 😂

Yes i'm dropping the N down by 1/2 and doing full dose of bloom and will do this now with all the strains unless i see a issue. I may go less than 1/2 in N towards the last 2wks of flower cause i give unsulferated molasses last couple of waterings with bloom normally. I have a month or so left with these so i'll just see and change my mind as they grow LOL🙃🐿️🐿️

Healthy amounts of N are okay. Excess N (and Mg), however, could negatively affect flavor due to the production of excess chlorophyl. Chlorophyl is known to be a flavor reducer, so its presence could suppress the natural flavors from terpenes. Similarly, effective drying and curing deactivates chlorophyl, which in turn improves flavor. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Update wk. 4 of flower for the autos. I'm kinda on cruse with these little ladies, not doing much just watching them to frequently LOL. Oh i pluck a leaf here and there, shift the postions in the tent the one in back on the right showed signs of maybe being light sensitive when it sits on the taller risers so i dropped it down 4 inches on the short riser. I do not see them stretching any further now it's hopefully bulk up time💪. One of the Gappa auto's is way further along than the other 3 meaning it's not producing many new hairs like the others. They sure are small though bud size i imagine these much bigger if i'd not LST so hard and just let them go awe natural my tent is only 3x3. Anyhow another month or so to go for these and soon i'm gonna soak some photoperiods i got from Trustfall and will make a new thread for those. I might even start them today.....🧜‍♀️💫 see ya for another update on these in another wk.

No Bigalmoby i think i'm gonna do the same as you. I've cut the amount of N to 1/4 of what i was using and i'm adding unsulferated black strap molasses 1 teaspoon per 64oz of fluid is what they take in. And then i get run off but not much as of now, they'll start drinking less as you know later down the line.

Good rainy morning ya'll
My pup Poppy says " hey " 😁 The Grappa autos from Mephisto are really getting smelly like citrus. They are frosting and sticky as fly paper. Some tops are finishing faster than others as you can see. These really have been a no problem to grow strain for me so far. They are only about 18" at the top colas but fellas they are thickly stacked. There was no way to pull them branches away from eachother without breaking so i'm just carefully inspecting daily between the branches so far so good.
I've had mold grow on stems with these types of tight branches before, it could still happen but i'm trying to keep humidity low it's in the 40's lights on and up to 60% lights off. Steady temps in the 75-81f. I leave flaps open and door flap open about 12". Anyway that's what's going on. Still giving 1/4 of N grow nute and full dose of bloom nute drinking every 4-5days to run off about 15% 64oz each.

I am on this site daily and navigate via the new post button and this is the first time I’ve seen this thread and it was started in January. Same thing with golden road. Kind of weird.

Monday will start wk. 5 of flower 65days from sprouted in the soil. Just watching them fatten up now. I'm needing to free up 2 spots in this tent for the photoperiods hopefully i'll have 2 of these close enough to harvest. If not those photos will sit in the solo cups till some of these autos finish. I can't fit 2 5gal pots until then LOL. The photos may get a tad root bound in the solos🙃🤭🤷‍♀️

Oh BearWater it's Mephisto. These will go seed to harvest 80-90days. Some you can get earlier but i'm slowww LOL. And i seem to not grow big autos cause i restrain the heights LST hard on these but they did'nt seem to mind other than shorties.

Happy Friday ya'll 🥳
Pardon the crappy leaves i'm not changing anything with them these are on the last 2-3wks of this grow. 6 days ago i fed them perhaps to much unsulferated molasses with their bloom food, i won't go chasing the defisency which caused the spotting i'm too far along. So today they all needed water and that's all i gave them. 2 plants have all cloudy trichs, 1 is half & clear the other is probley 3wks out from harvests. Just guessing how much these will produce as i don't have scale but i'm thinking 3oz average?? Have a great weekend i won't be doing any badly needed yard work cause it's still raining😪🌧️☔

We still have snow in the forecast where I live. Some of the seeds I'm planting for the outside summer grow get planted today. A few Afghan landrace and a couple UBC Chemo / Romulan crosses from Lucky13. The Afghan's might pop, might not. Time will tell. The Lucky13 seeds all seem to grow.

My winter indoor mini-grow is moving along nicely. Free Mohan Ram seeds from Sweet Seeds.
