This is my second GDP grow. I just finished in Nov, then rebuilt my room, and started again 12/13. The first time was glorious but I am excited to do it during the winter and not have to run the AC. I also added the 4th lamp! Oh yeah. I am running 47 plants(I had to take 50 clones and expected to lose more), most are 12-15 inches but I have 10 small plants around 7 inches. When are you flipping them?

I was recommended zone by someone to fix/protect from root rot. Let me explain myself. This is my first run using 4'x8' tray, I usually use 4'x4'. So when I built the stand for the 4'x8' I did not know these trays sag. Needless to say it sagged alot and some of my plants were sitting in a puddle of nutes that would not drain until I was equipped to deal with the problem. Once fixed, I noticed that some of the roots had what looked like root rot(not sure because I have never had it before, but it didnt look right). So I trimmed all the dead root and flushed and went back to vegging as normal. I havent seen any signs of unhealthy plants or roots but I do not want to take my chances. What would you recommend instead of zone when using coco?
Thanks for the tips on keeping strech down also. Knowledge much appreciated. In your experience, what kind of yielder is GDP? Is it as bad as I've heard?

I did not realize you had root rot.
All make sense now. If you got a problem then that is one way to fix it. I read Zone will work for that. I have no used it nor had root rot in coco so better top check with someone with experience with it.

Reason I was sharing. Normally you want to keep the beneficial fungi bacteria alive in coco. Zone or h202 kills all. Bad and good.

Better to take care of your root rot problem.

Grandy daddy can yield well. I have seen close to gram per watt. I seen 2p per light in w gh 3 part. + koolbloom liquid/then powder. no c02. Rockwool, top drip to waste. Could to the same with coco. Gotta dial in your enviroment. All factors in place. Nutes wont do it alone.

Some guys consistently report 1.5 per light in sunshine#4.

You just got to dial her in. Her buds can get large, and she is short and packed tight. So that can make gdp prone to powder mold and bud rot.

Seen growers lose alot of there crop to bud rot w gdp. Also have seen alot of gdp with powder mold. Popular with the cash croppers.

Keep good airflow. Trim em and spread em out to keep airflow around the buds.

Good luck.

I plan on flipping on the 1st of the new year. As long as they keep progressing. I think I have successfully fixed the root issues. I am crossing my fingers at this point.

Thanks for the tips Leadsled. Keep them coming.

I am only using the zone for 1 to 2 weeks along with hygrozyme to treat the root issues because I have heard that zone is probably the strongest thing to safely treat them. After that I will switch to rhizotonic instead of zone as it is probably more suited for coco. I will also be switching from hygrozyme to cannazym because it is much cheaper... maybe not as effective but should do the trick.

I will be happy when these issues are behind me and I can get back to growing stress free like it should be...lol...that'll be the day.

Happy New Year... I have alot of work to do today to get these girlies turned but Im still hurtin from last nights party. D'oh

Just Turned my girls...finally. A couple days later then planned. I will be posting updated pics later. Also just harvested other room of Bubbah... couldnt be happier as far as quality goes but definetely didnt come close to full potential on yield. Still, very happy day! I will be posting some shots of the bubbah(fresh). Porn to come later.

Ready to go!

These are pics of GDP garden getting ready to flip to flower cycle. I will post more pics when they start to show flowers.

63 days this time. I usually pull a little earlier though. I waited till trichomes were very amber this time. I was told bubbah really packs it on if you go a little longer so I wanted to try it. I am happy with the results. It really showed color in the last few days and produced alot of resins.

OOps... I had a brain fart. I forgot to put my light timer to timed mode when I set them to 12/12. Went to check something out when lights were supposed to be off and found it shining bright. No harm no fowl. Im all dialed in now. New day 1. Ddd'ooohhh!

LOL. That's funny $hit. They're look'n real good. How tall did you say they were, when flipped to 12/12? I"m switching mine next week. I should start my own GDP diary.

About 2'. I will measure them tomorrow cause Im not sure exactly. You should post a diary of your own, maybe we can learn from each others. Lookin forward to seeing it. This is my first run with GDP so Im not very familiar with it. Been growing the bubbah for over a year and I think I might finally have it dialed in(Im on a learning curve-REMEDIAL).

Sorry for the lag, Ive been to busy to update lately. I switched my nutes to H&G a week before I flipped. I am very pleased. I flushed out my coco with plain water and also added hygrozyme. Then started H&G nutes with H&G additives. I am using base Coco A&B with roots excel, multi zen, drip clean.I am also adding a little CalMag as my water needs. My plants seem to be responding very well. They exploded with growth and have a very green, shiny, healthy look to them. My res is so much cleaner with this stuff. Also my ph has stayed at a stable ph of 5.8 all week without adjustment. My ppm also has stayed at around 1200 all week even with the loss of water in the res. With the GH I was using I have to adjust ph daily, by the end of the week my ppm would skyrocket unless I add water daily, and my res would get filthy at the bottom causing muck that would clog airstones and pumps.
This shit is great so far. If anybody has experience with H&G and has any tips for me, please post them. I will also be using BudXL, Top Booster, and shooting powder in bloom phase. Not sure what the best schedule will be for these nutes and I need help from someone with experience with H&G.

Sounds good. I like the meds with the amber trichomes :)

Looking forward to the gdp in flower. Glad you got the timer sorted out!

Another pic of Bubbah(wet). This herb has such a nice smell and taste. Very smooth!

Still having trouble uploading pics. All pics are same format and taken with same camera but it only uploads certain ones without error. IDK...
