Don't mean to go so long between posts. Loose track of time.

Ok, a week into flower. Not much going on, some small pre-flowers (not in pics yet).
And a few pics from the past few days.

They have really taken off. It's been 2 weeks since 12/12 and the plant in the back is in full flower. The one in front was affected by a small light leak for the first five days and is now just catching up.
Also, just added flower nutes.

Here is the one that had the light leak on. It will catch up fast I bet.

Concerning my light leak. My "nice" Mars Hydro grow tent lights up like a constellation when the lights go out in a dark room. It comes through the stitching, zipper, any velcro and pin holes on the surface. It really is bad. I hope that mine is just a bad one and others are better. The light leak I believe was the cause of my slow flower on the front plant was where the two zippers come together. This was just below plant level and was only a small hole but enough to slow the flower of the front plant. The zippers now meet at the top and it seals the light out. The pin holes and velcro, I guess I will block those as I find them. I think the only thing that did not delay all plants was it was in a darkened room (but not light tight - yet).

And my plants. I am excited for these. They don't look like my other grows. That goes towards better equipment. The flowers, how they are growing one above the other on up, did not happen on my other grows. Just a few on the top stems and popcorn buds everywhere else.

I predict: FIRE! lol

I am now starting week 3 for flower (week 2.2 for the front plant 🙁 ). So far I am ok with this run. Some rough spots and a few OMG moments but learned a lot. Next run will be better.
Here are some pics.

Moving right along 4 weeks after the flip to 12/12. Starting to get a feel for my plants. Things are getting stable.

My water pump is making noises 😞, new one on the way. Here are some pics.

Well, my plant in the back started showing signs of finishing, amber trichomes dying leaves, but too early. I did not read the signs that it was dying of something else. So I chopped it down. Roots didn't look good. It will be immature and I don't expect much. Now I will have to pamper the remaining plant. And here it is...

Have been busy chasing my tail. My new ph meter and my old ph meter don't read the same. Unless they are in the cal solution, then they both are close, maybe .05 to .1 to each other. So I have spent 2 days questioning my readings and have done 2 things. First I ordered a highly recommended meter, Apera PC-60 and second I prepped my 15 gal refill tank with an entire new batch with nutes and everything. When I get my meter tomorrow, I can finally be more confident in my measurements.

It was time for a flush anyway.
I know old post but try drops from the fish store for ph they are cheap and accurate if ur not colorblind

Yep, her partner (same strain) finished by itself. Weird, it had over 50% amber and leaves were turning yellow, and it was about 25% shorter. I know I had a light leak, but I thought it was only for a few days, so why it finished early I don't really know. Maybe an auto got mixed in.
But this girl took every bit of anything I through at it, lights, nutes, stress. If I had more space and knowledge I would have taken cuttings, she would make a good mother. She is still going strong and making white trichomes, so yes, I will wait. No hurry here.
Oh and the first plant gave me a sample (it fell on the floor and got dirty so I had to use it) and it was quite good. Better than dispensary.

Weird.

We are at day 53 now. Here are some Druids in a forest somewhere... and some buds.

Well we are not at 53 days lol. Don't know where I got that number. Total time from seed in water is 96 days and 40 days of flower. Here are some pics. Getting lots of darker pistils. Trichs will be coming along soon.

Something I have been doing with my weed is weighing it as I take it out of my jars. And each time I then calculate the cost I would have paid at the shops. The running total I like to compare to the cost of setting up my grow room. My normal and average cost per gram was $14.28. Yeah, screw that lol. I have recovered so far $132.00.
This is coming from the first plant to come down. It had to be an auto that got mixed in. It's ok, I guess. The yield for autos is smaller and I'm not good enough yet to maximize anything yet so I took a hit on quantity but I got a plant in 86 days from dropping the seed in water. So far the quality has been way better than the shops and no mildew taste. I must have got a special bud once because I took a trip that hasn't happened since my early days of weed, around '79-82. Full on mind melting head high moving then to a body high that left me without pain. Felt the best since my dx 12 years ago. Hoping for a higher yield from the second plant, it's already twice the size.
Weird.

I managed to just barely finagle my phone and cheap microscope in position to take a few pics of up close trichomes. Still almost all clear, just week 7. Here are some pics.

Wholly hell, time flies. I am still running these. It's 10 weeks now and they are going sloooow. Might be prepping me for a sativa run :). Anyway, had a small tent malfunction and broke a stem with buds. Removed it and just doing that caused a powerful wafting aroma that filled my house. Nice.

Don't know how it will be. Still find clear trichomes but mostly cloudy. Will start drying it and see. Here in the pit of AZ where my humidity exploded to 36%, I will have a challenge to get drying right.

In the future I plan to convert the adjacent room into a sort of lung room so maybe I will be able to keep lower temps and feed higher humidity to dry better. But for now I will just through them in a black plastic garbage bag and cover them with pop corn kernels and hang it from my tree. Ha Ha Ha J/K

Here are some current pics that look just like the ones from 2 weeks ago.

Well, calamity Jane (her new name) is dead. And I killed her. But, but it was not my fault. I was making an adjustment to the exhaust and um the filter slipped (the big odor control filter) and fell onto my netting. Pulled so hard all of the supports and wires yanked out and she collapsed under her own weight. I sighed, grabbed the cutter and chop.

She is now hanging in the tent. Checked today and drying slowly. Temps higher than I want, shrug, it's AZ. After I checked, the smell was like peppery lemon cereal. I hope I can keep that profile. Smelled so good, maybe a little bite...

Weird.

Edit: I believe it was close enough to finishing. 10 1/2 weeks, but Que Sera Sera.
