so after the 1st run was a fail (well part fail), im changing this up quite a bit.

strains:
chaos x3
gorilla glue4 x7
bruce banner3 x1
strawberries n cream x1
god bud x1
cannatonic 4 cbd x1
snake venom x2

2600w (1000/600/1000) in big kahuna air cooled hoods
1000ppm from day 1 until harvest
80* day temps
75* night temps
65% rh from wks 1-4
50% wks 5 to finish
14k btu dual hose
71 pint deheuy w/pump (now up 3' from the ground)

technaflora recipe for success nutes
terpinator
budswel organic guano 3-8
newtons apple 3-8

When i first started using co2 I noticed significant plant growth i kept my room at 600-900 veg & 1000-1250 for bloom

I cant run in veg at this time. im in a tent. BUT..... the gears are turning in my head about building a new veg room. current is a 5x10x7 tent and its way too small. I run 2x600s in big kahuna hoods. each hood has a 4' 4bulb t8 on either side (4 total), plus a 2' 2bulb t5 in front of the hood. I need more veg space as the plants get hindered by the cramped quarters. I put 2 rows of 6 (length wise), then the front hood I have 2 plants on either side as well. I also have my 27gal tub/ultrasonic fogger system (that im trying to revamp and have outside the tent, but have to plumb the pvc piping into the tent). this would allow me to drop in another big kahuna hood and another 600 (I have 6 spare 600 ballasts/lights). and allow for a better veg.

I went into a bit of detail in my original co2 thread. ill leave all my humble/eat crow thoughts over there as I don't want to jinx this run. lol

so this run changes are 800 more watts of light, terpinator additive, and my co2 saturation #'s. oh, and NO sfv og x dmt (had to kill her off, very very sad day).

just scored another big kahuna for the veg room, 1800w mh, plus side lighting 4x 4' 4 bulb bulb t8's.

I don't get why your last run was a failure? From what i understood, the nugs weren't dense (final weight not good)...is that it? Looking forward to this run and seeing what you do different, thanks for sharing.

Just realized you're in air cooled hoods. Therein is your biggest problem- high temp growing works best with lights that don't have a reflector - you're losing 20% of your light through the glass. I wouldn't push temps past 80 with reflectors or rh past 50...it's been 3-4 years since I've used reflectors, you only realize how much they suck once you yank the glass off. I only hit a gram per watt twice in air cooled hoods, now it's the standard

ive been running air cooled hoods for 4 years in air exchange rooms and always pulled supurb flowers and yields. im having a heat issue running 1000/600/1000, temps are 85+ under each light, even with my a/c in the room kicking. I turned one down to 1000/600/600 and hitting 81/81/81 under each hood. gonna leave it like that, until I need to adjust the 1st 1k back to 600. if I run open hoods/glass removed, I highly doubt my 14k btu dual hose will be able to keep my temps down. even at 600/600/600 I doubt ill be able to.

last run only my sfv og x dmt and chaos came out good, not supurb, but good and usable. im still blaming it on a faulty/glitch controller (got it sorted out now), and or my temps were too high. either way, its water under the bridge and id rather not bring it up any longer. im going to be out 4500.00+ as I need to source meds for my patients for the next 12 weeks.

We.....
What would be the difference of heat with glass in hoods and with out the glass in. Imo, I would never be able to control 3x 600 heat w/o the air cooled option.

Ok, so going back to 3x600. Im having issues keeping my temps down with 2600w, and don't want another fluffy/heat issue harvest again. I've made some more adjustments as far as cooling. My 3x temp gauges 18" from glass/bulb read 81*, leaf temps (took on 30 leaves) are all reading 77-79 tops. I'm hoping this will be good thru harvest. I'll post some pics tonight when I get to work.

Did some more lower clean up, 100% feed, 65% rh (for now), 3x600.

End of week 2 update
Still at 1 100 ppm
81* under all 3 lights
Leaf temps are 78 to 80*tops

Nice preflowers forming. Fingers crossed for a successful run this time.

End of week update. Things look like they are coming along very well. I'm hoping with the co2 controller fixed, I should expect a great harvest.

Close up shots are my chaos. Love that frost.

Lookin nice bro. What kind of co2 controller do you have? I don't really like my sentinel chhc-4i. It kicks on in bursts when the ppms drop below the set point. I talked to the tech and he said he never heard of it so I took it back and exchanged it for a new unit and the new unit does the same thing

I use a blueprint bdac-2 with fuzzy logic. Since I fixed the controller (factory reset and recalibrate the sensor) things are growing nicely. And Mt tanks lasting ALOT longer than my 1st run.

Imo, my very expensive controller is not all that great. It can only handle 14amps. With my ac, and co2 regarding plugged in, I'm at 13.6 amps. My deheuy is on its own plug. But the fuzzy logic setting is great for keeping stable Ppms all the thru lights on.

End of week 3 update

Things still the same, great growth and tons of frost. The chaos is super frosty. Almost need a straw vs a rolling paper. Lol

Loving the terpinator, or the plants seem to like it with the Frost everywhere. Great colas forming. 4/20 or 4/28 projected harvest date, leaning twords the 28th.

So I'm sorry, maybe I overlooked, are you running the c02?

I just got done with your last c02 journal. This loox pretty damn good. I'm running myne right now. Trial and error, I was trolling threads and found yours. Hope you don't mind if I watch. If you're ready running the c02 what ppm?

Anyone and all comments are welcome. I'm no expert, just learning as I grow. Lol

Yes co2 at 1000ppm. I started off at 1100ppm first 3 weeks, then backed it down to 1000ppm, ill run this ppm until day of harvest.

Tomorrow will be my weekly update and pics. The room is filling out nice and full.

End of week 4 update

Still rocking 1000ppm co2, 78* leaf temps and 82 ambient air temp. Added 1 more 18" fan to the room, for a total of 4 x 18" fans. Dropped the deheuy to 60%.

Flowers are starting to bulk up nicely, and the Frost is packing on really good. Really liking the terpinator vs not using it. Seems to frost up sooner and more coverage even at this time in the cycle.
