I want your input on products you guys are interested in.
If you had the means and where with all to accomplish a line up what would you make?
Funny you should ask. I've been working on just such a thing.
4-part nutrients
A: Base 1-1-1 1Ca 0.5mg ratio +chelated iron, zinc, boron and trace
B: Cal-Nitrate 15.5-0-0 18%Ca
C: Phophorus Dominant +Bloom Enhancers
D: Potassium Dominant +Magnesium and stress reducers (hormones, amino-acids, b-vitamins, etc)
3-part foliar (plus surfactant)
A: Kelp Extracts (Like Nitrozym, maxicrop, Bioweed,
seaplex, etc)
B: Micro element (Mag and iron, plus trace of other less mobile elements)
C: Resin Enhancer (Like Snow Storm Ultra, Boost Accelerator, etc)
Consider it a purely hydroponic lineup.
I would like to take a 120qt ice chest (aka cooler), drop in some 3 gallon mesh pots, 4x180degree aero sprayers per planter, and run a two plant Aeroponic/rDWC with this system. A clean, dependable, salt based nutrient would be great for this project. I'd hate to spend $900 on AN products for a test drive only to find out my idea is whak.
The reason for its configuration is to provide accurate control over each element. Here is how it works:
Mix in a pre-determined amount of Base to get the ppm level of all the elements to a "baseline minimum," like 50ppm of each NPK and Ca with 25ppm of mag.
Then dial in the volumes of each of the remaining 3-parts to get a ppm level for each element that is appropriate for the given period of growth.
By using a calculator a grower would know how much NCal, PDom, and KDom, to add to their baseline to get the desired ppm's and final solution profile.
The foliar system is designed to turbo-charge the plants and isn't a dire necessity but can make a large difference to the end product.
For me, it's all about having control over MY ratios for MY plants. Factory ratios set as an "average" that "most" plants will find acceptable isn't what I want. I want perfection. I want control. I want to dial in my specific phenotype from a specific heritage and I don't expect to just "get lucky" and find a predetermined nutrient system that has my plant dialed in. To get what I want out of my plants I need the control that can only be achieved by segregating the elements into their respective bottles.
