Gorilla Sac Punch

The name of this strain was just created to obscure the real title of it. I was given a few seeds and it is an unreleased strain consisting of gg4 and some form of fruit punch.

The buds given to me were dense, frosty with great fruit punch like terps.

So until the strain is officially released I’ll refer to it as Gorilla Sac Punch or GSP for short. Pics will be taken and uploaded shortly.

This is my first GG4 cross so I’m anxious to see how it performs. I’ve grown mostly tried and true strains over the years so this will be a nice change of pace.

Yeah the only GG4 I’ve has prior to this was from a local dispensary and it costed me $15/gram and was nothing to write home about. So my view of it has been skewed until recently. These beans were free so I can’t complain. They will replace the Chocolate Diesel in my lineup for now. I still have more Choco D seeds to grow out so I’ll circle back down the road. It was fun growing out though. Choco D was apparent to GG4 so I figured this would be a good replacement with hopefully a bit better yield.

A good friend wasn't impressed with the GG4 strain either. Mainly from dispensary experiences like you mentioned. So he was impartial when I mentioned it was something in my tent. Fast forward to this last Saturday when we were trimming, and he was beside himself. It absolutely destroyed the trimming shears after just a couple cuts. Trimming took forever because of the constant cleaning of the shears. He couldn't help but smell almost every nug trimmed, and every few he was smelling the entire trimmed bud bucket throughout the day. Usually with the same reaction each time. "Oh my god bro, this smells amazing." And smoking? After two rips he couldn't say enough good things about it. He absolutely loved everything about it and wanted all of it. And he is very, very picky with what he spends his money on.

Like most strains, there's good representations and piss poor representations out there. Hopefully you have one that leaves you impressed and doesn't waste your time.

For sure. That’s why I popped these. I was impressed with the bud I was given and it checked a number of boxes that I could use right now in my grow space. I just hope they turn out like their predecessor. The seeds are selfed so it’ll be interesting. I may have access to the cut once I run these to compare it to so there’s little risk involved really. One way or another I’ll end up with some fruity frosty goodness.

It was wierd for the first time in my growing career I met face to face another grower and we both knew that we were growers. So we talked for hours about anything and everything to do with growing. I’ve met lots of people online but that’s always been as far as things have gone. It is nice to meet other like minded folks that share a love for the plant the same as you do.

That's funny you say that. I brought a grow tent off a guy on offer up. And when I went to meet the guy we talked for hours. It was cool meeting another grower in person like you said. He was getting out of growing, but talking to me made him change his mind . We still talk every so often, asking how each others grows are doing.

That’s awesome. I do need to get out more and there’s actually a cannabis meetup about an hour or so from here once a month. I should start going to that for sure. Actually now that I’m thinking about it I’m gonna go find more info.

That's awesome. I would definitely go to one of those also. Too bad it's still illegal where I live .

Feb 27 - Day 1 from seed. And so it begins.

I only got one seed to sprout. I’m having some more sent to me so I’ll prolly pop a few more. One seed was a dud. Oh well. Happens to the best of us.

It’s a clear solo cup with the rim trimmed off.
