My buddy is From Humboldt, and knows the guy who "invented" Gravity. He says if you're set on using it, use about 1/4 of what the label says. He won't even touch any of the products in the line- Gravity, Bushmaster, or Purplemaxx. In the beginning at least, these products were not stable, or consistent. Some batches would be super strong, and others seemed to have no affect whatsoever.
However, I do know many that swear by Gravity, and I've used it in the past with satisfactory results. I won't swear by it, but I won't swear AT it either, lol. Less is more, I guess. I'm sticking with organics only at this stage, so Gravity has no place in my nute lineup. Peace

Lost is right on. I use it sparingly. It does work if used at the right time to add density to your flowers.

it really can add weight .

... i have been told its not ga.....but thats just from a very savy store owner "hi dawn"

i guess all of us are too lazy to call and ask someone at the company .. lotsa of these products are not even listed with state gov so things get pulled off the shelf all the time...

atltitude farmer i have seen huge variations in many batches of domestically produced products ... cutting edge and botanicare to name a few . not to say i dont like their products but there is variation ...

canna and dutch masters seem solid as a rock.

it sucks because there is so much on the line.

i always try anything three times in test before it hits the a room.

that includes new cuts or seeds .....

i think alot of people go the minimal route because they have been burned at some point by someone saying "just try this stuff broo its killer" famous last words...

with gravity ,phos load, or shooting powder its very strain dependent .... if you have high temps or other issues its gonna mutate things.

then who can say its the gravitys fault or just the wrong strain or setup. i use phos load first week then gravity 5 then shooting powder or m.o.a.b depending on how long im going. with these three i have bumped yield by quite a bit. quality is up 2 ....

you really have to dial this shit in or its a huge waste ... but i can pull nearly 3 pounds per light in a horizontal vertical system ... and before the bumper products i was rite about 2.3 per.... this is with a socal og from dego........

good luck everyone .... try it with different strains at diff times ..

. its worth the hastle in my book ... but then again this is the bulk of what i do in life .... and i have time to tinker ...

Here's the labeling for Gravity:

Contains non-plant food ingredients:
0.75% Ascophyllum nodosum (sea kelp) extract
0.01% Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride)

Neither one of these ingredients are known to cause hermies when over used or will cause rapid bud density. The effects of these ingredients are inconsistent with the effects Gravity has on the plant. If you use gravity, pick a plant, overdo the gravity, and watch it do weird shit that is consistent with an overuse of GA. I noticed some of my plants reverting back to a vegetative stage.

If all it is is AN sea kelp and B1, I'm using that from now on anyway. You can get a 55lb bag of that for $90 and you know there's not any HORMONES hiding in there..

thats whats listed .. dosent meen much because most of these products contain all types of things that are not on the label.... when i buy a can of starting fluid they dont tell me what ethl, solvent it is... more important it works....

these products are for people who need/want to tweak their yield...
some people are happy with what they pull...

if it was just seaweed and b1 homey i wouldent get those results ...

i dont care what it is or how much it costs or if kids get horney with it and fry their closet/or tent.......

the kids i know who use this product well are cash croppers ...
they dont care what people think ... they care about results ..

i care about 2 things in this order quality and weight...

Island Sweet Skunk
Hashplant
Afghani

the sativas were fucked. typically heavy feeders of a well established and stabilized strain liked it. I'm not saying the stuff sucks, I just wish I would have known it had GA in it so I wouldn't have hermied my crop! Well, I'll probably still use it, just in hydro. It does work well. I would just use it in the last 2 weeks in dirt so if hermies do pop they won't do much but look weird. I've used it for a long time with good results in hydro, but I do vaguely remember some hermie activity a few times in the dirt.

just don't overdo it..

EDIT: Lost, I'm not attempting to tell folks how to grow, sit here and bitch about using hormones and the like, or get into a pecker twirl. I would like to keep my hormone usage down to a minimum and I wish the products I buy to be consistent with their labeling. I want to know when I'm buying hormones and when I'm not. That's it.

Happy growing folks!

Yea altitude, The reeferman's grapefruit BLEW up with it as well. Here's a few others

Northern lights
Big Bud
Mikado
Skunk#1

The gravity isn't for pussy plants. If you have a strain that's bitchy with its ferts, you want to take it really easy with this stuff, something like 0.5-1ml per gallon in dirt or 0.25-0.5ml per gallon in hydro

ok, so I got a really wack batch of Gravity. I put 1ml in 2 gallons of water, fed an afghani plant in a 7 gallon dirt pot that had 3 weeks left in its cycle, and it hermied after 1 week like clock work, just like the last screwed up batch.

WTF, 1ml in 7 gallons of soil. One $50 bottle of gravity has cost me thousands. humbolt's pumping out their products by the truckload to everyone and their kids that want to jump the bandwagon has obviously affected quality.

1ml, someone explain how 1ml can do that. I could probably put 1ml of diesel fuel in my plant and have it fair better.

I tried Gravity my last run. 21days out. Jock Horror did fine, P-91 hermied, C-99 no noticeable difference. Skywalker OG no noticeable difference.

Ran GH 6/9 in Coco. Used Snowstorm too

Gravity sucks in Coco. At least in my opinion.

Snowstorm though Very Nice. The buds themselves not much frostier but the trim was.

I've gotten what looked like rust after I used the gravity. It was actually a sudden calcium depletion that showed up in 2 days. Use it with a little extra cal-mag. I run it after you can really see calyx development and the crystals are just starting to show up, about 4-5 weeks before your plants are finished. I usually quote times from the end of the cycle as I grow sativas and indicas. week 4 with a 14 week sativa is WAY different from week 4 on an 8 week indica. I use it once 4 weeks untill the end and then again at 2 weeks from the end. I think the purple maxx is great, I have seen a noticable increase in trichrome development from using that stuff. It does nothing for purpling.

Just use snowstorm ultra. Ever since I have been using it I have the smelliest and most crystally buds, huge taste. Dunno if more trics equal taste but whatever, Snow storm Ultra is the stuff..

Don't know if it was mentioned and I missed it, you have to raise your lights higher when you use gravity, and use it for the last couple weeks of the feeding schedual, not during th eflush stage, as I'm sure you all know. Info from a good buddy of mine thats been using it for ages.

Yea, really you wanna add it week 4 1/2 to 5 and after that res change back to normal. Ins not something you run the whole time. Its a one shot kinda thing. Same with bushmaster, you use it one week and thats it one week before flip and other wise not at all. My gravity bottle lasted me 6 months.. Snow storm Ultra, after week 5 I add it., untill flush. Its really great stuff and if you hit it right the combo is pretty sick..
