Aw, shit... it was something someone else posted, Ken. I don't think I bookmarked it, either.
oh. Man:confused:...it had a funny name...I looked it up...and found them...and forgot what its called now:facepalm:

Damn it! I can't remember, either! They had two systems, one was a mechanized armature that brought the plastic over a hoop house. The other was the Forever Flowering.

Golden arm!
Goldenarm

That armature is the bomb..

I dont know how long it lasts...But Im surte it would last at least a few years for the price
The Forever flower set up is wayyy to expensive!
The Arm bar thingy that attaches to the ground and pulls the tarp over is the part thats good
@Seamaiden had a name for that bar thingy..I cant remember where I read her post
Hopfully she know what im talking about and will chime in...cause I need to look those up again.

anyway, you could copy FF setup for alot cheaper than buying it..

The price isnt what's stopping me soo much as the extra maintenance it would take to keep it running smoothly and all the parts working .

Golden arms are a cool idea, especially if you've ever pulled plastic in the rain (near impossible). The issue with the GA is they only cover up to a 10' high greenie, not tall enough for most.

the arm looks good for a 1 person spot. i like how there is a guy standing watching the other guy do the work alone in the video .

It only takes one person to pull tarp, with or with out a Golden Arm especially on a hoop that small.

has to be a one person operation...its hard enough to be there at the same time everyday..
even harder to have two people there everyday at the same time :)

edit to add; Twice a day

You're gonna rip your plastic with that....just sayin.
Not if you hook it up right..
I think one of those at one end and me on the other might be helpfull...lol
Thats really cool that its cordless too!
Im just going to stay small so I dont need anything fancy..
I will take some photos when I cover in about 45 min

Where you would need that thing would be in the middle of the hoop, hence the chance of ripping/tears. The ends are the easy part with flapping of the tarp. Trust me, I've done it a bunch.;)

I follow you mcp. A pole wrapped in the pulled end of the tarp would reinforce it enough to last a season.

The OP is probably pissed that we are talking about small light deps...lol :woot:
Sorry Bay! :) We dont get enough light dep discussions here!

that makes the cover more like a "window shade" and much easier...
I dont know why I dont have a pole on my leading edge...lol...too lazy I guess
and I dont need it either..,,but I may get around to it someday:p

It's not the tarp you are pulling that you should be worried about ripping/tearing, I totally follow your train of thought. It's the actual greenhouse clear plastic that you need to be worried about.
