Thanks for replying man.

Yeh, been experimenting like you suggest and got it pretty consistent now with the exhaust fan.

This is with no humidifier and ambient temps:

Day Avgs (last 24hrs):

Yes , they are maybe lower than ideal but it is Winter after all! If I add the humidifier in to the mix the temps and humidity obviously go up but much more wild swings between max and min as fan does its job. And also means without the humidifier another less thing to worry about whilst away for Xmas (over 2 weeks!) A friend is coming to water every 3 days or so but the humidifier would need topping up every 24hrs (unless i got a bigger one). Ideally I'd get the AC Infinity one and plug it in to the controller (god i love the marriage of tech and weed) but they are sold out till end of Dec so that's a non-starter at the moment.

So in conclusion, just let it ride I think and see where we get to. The ladies look happy enough to me and that's what counts of course. 🙂

Ok, time for an update!

Here they are over the weekend (Friday, day 33) grabbing some rays outside while they can:

Looking pretty healthy I think.

So then yesterday I tried my hand at some LST for the first time.....eek!

That was, scary. They seem to have recovered well today and I've taken few more leaves off this morning so nothing in the shade or scraping sides/floor of the pots.

As ever, any thoughts or advice welcome.

p.s. Have got a heating mat coming as getting chilly at night for them even in the tent with the light on. Think it'll give them a nice bump. Also have started using a humidifier again as has really dropped but will have to stop whilst away.

Is there a way to follow this post? I'm on day 10-14 (depending on pot) after introducing the seeds to water on a tissue. This post is really good to follow along with

Looks very similar to my setup. What size pots (and tent)? And, more importantly, what are you growing? They look lovely and healthy.

Ok, so I've got it mostly setup now and put my old ladies from first grow in to try out overnight last night. Need to do a lot of tidying up with leads and ropes (so bloody many) but we are just about there!

Meanwhile the new ladies are now transplanted and have been giving them a little daily trip outside in the shade while they settle in to their new homes and before I put them under the lights.

I haven’t read the whole thread I’ve 2% battery 🪫 left
Why did you take all the leaves off
Also I would stick with indoors and not run them outside or you risk bringing bugs in and ruining your crop

Hi Folks,,

I'm back again for more and this will be my first tent grow so very excited to learn all about that as we go. It's going to be hilarious I imagine, can we match the 'pool' incident from the first one?

I just popped 3 seeds a few days back:

Mephisto - Strawberry Mango Crumble (Auto)
Twisted Tree - Newberry (Auto)
Speedrun - Froot Fuel (Auto)

The Newberry and Froot have just broken ground yesterday and I'm willing the Strawberry to show its face asap!

Wish me luck!

Finally someone picked this up!

I have to come clean and disappoint you, I am a fellow Brit living in CA so that probably makes more sense now. 😄
My mind was absolutely pickled by the comment.
Was an American putting on a cockney accent or was he saying it in his accent? 🤣

It's a spider farm sf1000 set up with the temp/humidity controller, which at first I couldn't get my head around but now see how valuable it truly is!
5 gallon pots (apart from my self made 1 litre pot 😆).

And thanks, I've read so much but feel there's a lot of contradicting information out there, so I'm glad you guys are saying they're healthy.

And they are, rear left peanut butter, rear right crème brulee, front big bud by seedstockers and the one in the middle is a vertigo.

hey man,
looking good with the plant @lenhug. I see you’re trying your hand at some of the low stress training. it will take a few days but you will see the lower branches really start to take off.
be well

Not sure what you mean about the leaves, the LST removals? Took a few off as they'll obscure/shade the new/lower growth so absolutely no reason in having them there. At least that's what I'd read in various places and made sense to me. Maybe I'm incorrect, we'll find out! 😄

Take your point about sticking indoors only with bugs etc but I do like them to have some real (TM) sunshine if possible. I'm away for a few weeks from tomorrow so they'll be indoors only from then. I think it may be a hangover from my outdoor growing in the Summer as well. Maybe I need to be more disciplined between them?

Delicious!

I totally get where you're coming from about all the different and often contradictory information. I was and tbh still am at times in the same place. You just got to find what you feel is reputable source you can trust and try things out, that's half the fun I've found. This place is great with many, many knowledgeable old heads happy to help out. Basically see what works for you and go for it. 🙂

Thanks man, they are definitely perking up even this morning!

And sorry didn't use your recommended clips but couldn't find any and I think they weren't tall enough to try with...he says. 😉

Next time maybe, next time...

Well, then my hands are tied, 20% would be better here. They are still tiny. All will be well man. No worries. You would be better off with slower growth while you are gone. It’s what I would do.

Thought I'd just update you here @Captspaulding

So the dial on the actual light itself is in 20% increments as we discussed but using the app/controller you have a nice 1-10. That's logical! 🙃

Thanks man, off again for two weeks tomorrow. Looooong bloody flight to look forward to but I have my mate coming round to water them as needed so should all be good. I'm expecting/hoping to come back to some crazy growth tbh.

Reading more that was a older plant not what you have going now

The fan leaves feed the plant and create a buffer.

Defoliation ( taking the leaves of ) mainly came about when you had bushy plants to allow more air flow.
Nowadays a lot of folks do it willy nilly with no rhyme nor reason.
Taking a few of isn’t a biggie but striping the entire plant of every fan leaf isn’t really a good idea.

It’s definitely not lst that’s for sure it’s more high stress training than low stress.

99% of the time there’s not much real need for it. Just tuck them under

It’s used to be rule number one if your going to defoliate ( take fan leaves of ) only do 10% at a time as it’s very stressful to the plant.

Now some will take them all off in one go stress the hell out the plant then and cliam it helps get more bud back without any real proof
It’s like a bad habit.

It’s a practice that’s spun out of control imo
