Heres a question for you...So I almost feel like I built my room assbackwards but hell.. anyways, The grey box is my ac unit, the red lines rep flowerroom, green veg obviously I am getting a grow tent so I don't have to mess with the walls to much. My problem is I am going to have the fan set up to the tent, but how do I get the air into the veg room through the flower tent? Thanks I haven't seen a lot of videos, or questions regaurding this type of problem.View attachment 219290

Go around or over the tent with fan and ducting to veg room

If it's a portable unit you will get smell if you vent w/o carbon filter. You want 8-12F temp difference ,at plant tops, between lights on and lights off temp when running CO2. So IMO you are good now.

Does the filter need to be hooked up to the ducting going out the window?
Or is it ok to run the fan and filter in the room and just have the ac pulling that air outside?
I dont notice a smell, but honestly i cant tell. I can smoke a j and not notice smell though...the vent comes out of the second story window.

Best is to hook up to ducting going out but other way should work if filter and fan are big enough to scrub entire room.

Yeah, I guess I was looking for a more neat approach, I already feel untidy cause of all the cords. Yeah any other sugguestions?

Only need 1 fan and some ducting to veg room and flower area if needed. Either that ditch the tent. I'm not trying to be a smart ass but that is what needs to be done. Or a complete redesign of entire area.

Hello everyone. Got a closet grow : 10 L x4 W x 8 H inside a bedroom (10x12) with one 600w hood cooled with duct fan and oscillating fan with digi ballast inside room.

Outside temps are usually high 80's-90's (with a few 100 days) in the summer months with indoor temps being 70-high 80's. Only ran in winter months so looking to get a window A/C for summer. I have a whole house A/C but only run it when temps get to high 80's-90's so want window A/C to compensate, and keep temps in a tight range.

I saw a 5,000btu Haier (haven't heard great things about the brand but like the price) for $109 and a 6,000 btu Haier for $149. Thinking of going for the 6,000 btu. This should be sufficient yes?

What's up cannabisJohn, got a quick question for you, I have a new ductless 2 ton that came with the control wire drain hose ect... Im going to mount the condensor myself before he comes out for the install. So all he will be doing is running the lines to the evaporator and running the electrical to the panel, the run is only about 30 feet so it is fairly simple of an install. How much would you charge to do a install exactly like this one? Please get back to me and let me know so I know the right price to pay my guy. Thanks bro have a good day.

Honestly I dont wanna ditch the tent because if i move I don't want to have to fuck with mylaring every wall again. Light leaks hurt my last grow, and i cant have that this time. Eitherway I was just looking for some information on getting the room cooled completely through one ductwork ventilation. 'I just don't understand how that works with the tent..' Ugh... I probably will have to redesign this whole thing.

Either size should do. Good luck.

Somewhere around $500 or so. If you want cheaper then run the copper line set also. Be careful not to kink it when running it.

just a quick question , was wondering whats a good way to install a window ac in my room its 9 x 9 and i have a 5000 btu ac . but i have no windows in my room , i want to put it in my wall but is it nessary to vent the back end of the ac ? I have my van ee air exchanger exhaust duct just outside the walll of my room , should i just build a box and vent that ???

Thanks CannabisJohn I appreciate it I was quoted right around that price, I just wanted to make sure I was on the same page with the price and that I wasn't getting charged a bundle for the install. Have a good day, good luck with your business.

Yep you have to vent back end of window a/c (called the condenser).

just wondering what would be the best way to do this ? just build a wooden box and attach ducting >

It's called a split system. I would use 7000-7500 btus per 1 kw of light which would mean u need a 15,000 or so for flower room and maybe an additional 6-9000 for veg room. So I believe a 2 ton should be good. If you oversize too much then it will cycle too much which is bad.

Thought about adding 1 light to use the extra btu's, but am thinking about co2 burner instead. Those big azz bottles of co2 from welding store are pain in th azz and draw attention while I'm unloading in my paranoid mind. If I run 2k flower, 400mh plus several t5's veg, fans, dehueys, and co2 burner in hot climate with 3 ton split, am I good? Would I still have room for another 1000hps flower or 400mh veg if I needed?

I have a question im not clear about. Does central AC work with a sealed grow? Will it take the air/co2 to other rooms? Or recirculate the air in the grow room? Thx in advance!

Will transfer air in and out of grow unless major rework of ducts.
