the 250 watt mh instead of the 125 watt cfl is starting to show slowly

http://img704.invalid.com/img704/5102/img0016xw.jpg
the c99 seedlings where getting stretchy under the cfl but has stopped the stretch now and started real growing instead

http://img709.invalid.com/img709/9128/img0018ru.jpg
c99 seedling opening up nicely under the 250 watt mh

Mama Chi which is Big Sur Holyweed x Panama Red is so far the most vigirous of the clones
those i have is the "indica" leaning clones

http://img35.invalid.com/img35/926/img0020ow.jpg
Happy Brother
this superb smelling and tasting indica is also showing good growth

http://img683.invalid.com/img683/3161/img0023he.jpg
one of the many DD, FR and SSSDH clones that where taken apr 3 weeks into flower
they finally rooted after 4 weeks but many of them are still standing still
notice the trichomes
they kept making trics when rooting also
the seemed to have stopped trichome production now but im still waiting for renewed growth on most of them

under the cfl i did some reading with my lux light meter
i didnt get past 20 k lumens for the closets plants and those most far away recieved only 1-4000 lux
after the changei now have 20-30 k lumens just under the bulb with the spreader and up to 70 000 lux on those plants further away but in more direct line of the bulb
the light spreader is ideal in this condition as it allows me to keep the bulb very close but still not harming the seedlings by reflecting much if the light out to the plants further away and at the same time put have the seedlings as close to the bulb as the heat allows which in this case is apr 15 cm for the closets ones
if this wasnt seedlings just below the bulb i think the distance could be further decreased

a light meter is a very good tool for adjusting plants optimal under the hood
also to check efficiency of bulbs and different hoods
also in many cases where you think that by the naked eye the lihtning seems proper
the light meter will tell you othervwise
i bought my 200 k max lux reader at ebay.co.uk for apr 20 punds shipped from hong kong in 6 working days
ive also bought humidity, ec and ph testers from hong kong with very good prices and no additional taxes and damn fast shipping to

And yeah, my experience with hongkong rubbershit is that the accuracy sucks, aswell as stability. Tried out some of their 5in1 units among other and it kept strafing from the set values...like the others.....I used 2 hanna 9129 to check them and they sucked.

with ph and ec for hydro ....buy quality products.

well this is a grow thread and not a discussion about hong kong grow gear
but with that in mind the hydro gear i bought is reliable and accurate
ive never tried those 5in1 your talking about so i cant tell
my light meter is an investment im really happy about

i just struck a deal today on the lacking insulation for the long planned larger room
i should be getting it in 2 days
i have some other things to finish also but i hope to restart building it at friday or in the weekend
i have a few things missing before i can put insulation in but its apr 80% finished and has been for some time.
ive been waiting to complete other tasks and not least the insulation is money has been a serious issue lately.

i hope to have the room somewhat functional at the start of next week and start out getting my dinnertable back!
and the plants in bigger pots and maybe under a 400 watt mh or plantastar hps

the adjustawing with the lightspreader is a good tool worked in conjunction with a lightmeter but one should use the lightmeter and place the plants carefully as the spreader will give the plants directly under the bulb less light but it will direct most of that light to other parts where hotspots can get created in areas with a heavy light concentration that excees the normal values without the spreader

http://img181.invalid.com/img181/2740/img0027sk.jpg
just a short peep under the hood
not exploding yet but things are starting to happen
hopefully they can get transplated unto larger puts in the weekend or start of next week if and when the new indoor grow room is up and running

the c99 seedlings are doing fine
they had their first fertilizer in small doses today

time for an update

http://img144.invalid.com/img144/5871/img0029u.jpg

http://img52.invalid.com/img52/7029/img0030x.jpg
3 new strains that have rooted and send from other danish growers with a hice sharing spirit has been added
2 Casey Jones and 2 Jack Flask with one JF remaing in the cloner
and one ak47
i found out the Mama Chi is really N hungry
didnt think they where ready for full nutrients strenth yet so they had around 3/4 of full strenth one time and pure water the other time
this made the leaves yellowing so now they get full strenght each time and only newly transplanted clones and the c99 seedlings get pure water in between
i might have to raise the nutrient dosis further on the Mama chi though

http://img651.invalid.com/img651/4756/img0031x.jpg
Double Dutch or a Fat Russian revegged clone with new shots
these where taken apr 3 weeks into flower and took for weeks to root and almost the same time to start shoting out now branches and leaves after rooting
some freaky looking ones among them but as long as they reveg im happy
then later i can flower them out and determine what is DD and what is FR

http://img52.invalid.com/img52/5945/img0032x.jpg

http://img710.invalid.com/img710/2968/img0033xh.jpg

http://img163.invalid.com/img163/9073/img0034xy.jpg
the c99 is looking really nice
a few burned tips from being so close to the bulb but its nothing compared to the gain i had using the spreader to keep them this close to the bulb
the spreader is making hot spots on plants further away though and i use my light meter to find these and place plants according to that

http://img651.invalid.com/img651/2213/img0035rd.jpg
one of the bigger c99 up close
2 more weeks like this and i can start taking the first clones before its off to flowering to dertermine sex
should match the date of being ready to use my new indoor room

http://img260.invalid.com/img260/3968/img0036no.jpg
in the cloner theres currently 1 jack flash left ( this one isnt a fast rooter as the ak47 i recived one day later was rooted and moved to pots several days ago)

a c99 cut from a fellow skandinavien grower

some Blues, or suspected to be Blues. it was passed around as exodux cheese but it gows more skunky and yields more than the exodus cut

Island Sweet Skunk or just Sweet Skunk ( its the SOL cut)
to the most right its BubbleChung males

i topped them today as some of them where getting a little stretcy due to too little space and only a 250 watt mh to cover it
they will go out to a fellow Seedshare grower in need tomorrow or very soon
im sure they will make the reciever happy and its better to share then to trow them away

its 3 non sexed c99 cuts of different phenoes
mama chi pheno 3
ak47, SSH and SSSDH ( multi cup winning org OJD cut)
casey jones and sweet skunk ( org SOL cut)
and 2 of my X plants
the X plants are either Double Dutch or Fat Russian but need to be flowered out first to see
but both strongs are awesome yielders and a good smoke

i did find a little spidermites in my grow again but small cuts are easy to clean down with insect soap a few times and the few that might be on them are gone for good ( or take an airtight box and set in an ashtray with a little cigarette 2 times in a row and keep it sealed for 30 min, repeat this 2 times in course of a week and they are gone also)

http://img135.invalid.com/img135/1295/img0055xe.jpg
nevest rooted and potted
its a c99 of a scandinavian cut
Blues, sweet skunk and a bubble chung male from Southern Flatland Seeds

Casey jones and sssdh
this SSSDH cut has won 2 cups in a row now
this years cup winner with SSSDH had his cut from a fellow grower on Seedshare but after he had rooted and partly flowered it out we never saw him again so i guess he found what he was looking for

Keep it green guys until next time

delayed update but here it is in 2 posts as there where too many pictures for one post at some forums where 20 pictures in each post is the limit

i had some problems indoor as the 250 watt MH just wasnt enough for the bio mass so they got stretchy and a growing spider mite attack ( of of the draw back from receiving many clones from many different growers but i dont wanna trade the risk for not being able to rebuild and expand my stock ) was beginning to take their effect on the plants so they got moved into the green house for more space and equal light and better treatment of the spider mites

heres an update from 2 of June that i havent posted before

in this update you can see spider mite damaged and yellowing leaves but when compared to newt update its visible how fast they recover when they get better space, lightning and a treatment against SM

as my own Topskud C99 seeds didnt sprout i was in short of some extra c99 genetics to the Nectar ones im running myself in order not to have the line too much bottlenecked compared to what it already is
the Topskud c99 has a very good reputation around these parts but the seeds are also old and very hard to get germinating these days but a kind grower who had betetr luck with the Topskud C99 and had a female, send me 2 rooted cuts that is now going to be used to add more genetic diversity to the planned seeds
tnx m8 :)

today when it was raining as hell i took these pictures to show how much can happen in 9 days when they get better space and lightning and a treatment against spider mites
theres still a few mites back but they have been so severely reduced that the plants started growing like mad with new fresh shots

they will get another treatment soon and then 2 more treatments to get rid of them

a pinched the tops on many of them, esp the c99, a few days ago in order to make them grow for more clones which i will start take in a few days

when clones have rooted and theres confirmed surviving clones of each C99 i will start putting plants into flower and the fun part can begin :)

http://img263.invalid.com/img263/5360/img0030wz.jpg
my 2 Sweet Skunk moms
they where badly affected byt the Spider mites but are doing just fine
one is mislabeled
its not ISS from Federation but the original clone from SOL

http://img263.invalid.com/img263/6392/img0031za.jpg
from the right its a self planted seed from last year in a pot that contained Tranwreck IBL from Crazy X Seeds
Daddy unknown but since as far i can remember i only had dads from either Trainwreck or Endless Sky the dad would be one of those
im hoping for a girl ;)

next as a selv planted seed that was in a put with Fat Russians
since these where grown both under hps and put outdoor when the weather was good the fathers could be from any of those i grew in the garden last year like Bifrost early male pheno or Royal Dane x erocket/Danish passion or others

last on the Left is a Sweet Skunk mom that was in the cloner with very lightly fertilized water for too long and then she was hit bad by spider mites onced re potted
she had a tough life but it seems she is recovering slowly

http://img97.invalid.com/img97/4988/img0033hy.jpg
Blues clone
it was also badly damaged by SM but its recovering nice now and shooting out fresh leaves
the damaged old leaves can still be seen
next is Double Dutch self seeded plant
the fathers are among the same possibilities as the Fat Russian above
hoping for a girl also which i hope could turn into a really nice high yielding in and outdoor hybrid
time will tell
next is Chronic which also had a hard time with the mites but seems it has turned fine now and start shooting fresh leaves
last is an ak47

http://img689.invalid.com/img689/6049/img0034vv.jpg
the 2 Topskyd C99 that was put into pots 3 days ago are doing fine now

http://img824.invalid.com/img824/9918/img0035b.jpg
C99 are adjusting fine
damaged leaves from SM attack and previous stretch can still be seen but new leaves are looking fine and so are the internode distance also now

http://img52.invalid.com/img52/2852/img0036xs.jpg
Mama Chi moms ( panama Red x Big Sur holyweed)
very vigorous plant and a heavy nitrogen eater

http://img52.invalid.com/img52/4738/img0037x.jpg

Happy Brother, Jack Flash and SSH

http://img707.invalid.com/img707/9830/img0042xx.jpg

http://img819.invalid.com/img819/5276/img0043y.jpg

inside under the hps on the dinning table they only had some Canna Terra Grow but when moved into the green house and re potted they where given Bio Bizz Fishmix and Advanced Nutrients Sensizyme in order to boost the growth and give them optimal conditions in the soil and it seems like it has payed off

once my C99's are put into flower i will also put in clones from all my moms so the C99 fathers will pollinate them for crosses
Happy Brother x c99, SSSDH x c99 etc and these seeds will be available at around the same time as the pure c99 seeds

ive been recommended both Spinosad
and Hot Shop Strips
for the spider mites

insect soap and Spinosad all requires many treatments in order also to kill those who survived the first sprays as eggs.
im too broke to order Hot Strips right now but i think its a future option as its the only thing ive come across that should kill all bugs in one treatment and keep them away
im aware that Hot Shot Strips is some poisonous stuff esp indoors, but i think it can be needed sometimes but im also aware that prior to working indoor in the room any longer than a short period of time, you would have to let the vent fans run on full blast and stash it away in a plastic bag or similar

im just finished taken the last clones
3 am here and ive been making the last clones in the greenhouse with the garden lit up with a 400 watt hps. 16 mommas thats been raped for clones has been put into darkness as im starting a forced flowering outdoor now. taken pictures tomorrow and posting tomorrow night together with some unposted pictures also
some 140 clones in total i think of just about every momma i have in my garden
including Blues and C99 which have Flowering and breeding projects comings as soon as i have confirmed roots on each individual plants when C99 is concerned

im sorry for the lacking updates recently as ive been busy both with the grows and private matters

the plants are growing well in the green house although ive had some stretch because ive given them large amounts of nutrients, and paired with a warm weather but clouded most of the time the result has been a good growth although some stretch because of the lacking lumens ( its about time some one changed the big HPS up there to something more vital)

ive taken many pictures but havent got around to posting them yet it will be done very soon but in the meantime take a look at this video which also contains some of the pictures as slides and some real video shots from the green house

the C99 seed run is delayed as ive had bad lucks with clones and i want one at least one surviving clone from each original plant before i start the flowering and pollination
but expect 2-3 weeks and then i start the flowering no matter the luck on the last clone batch

i also expect the Smelly Berries and Killer Skunks to be ready for clones and then flowering out in apr 3 weeks to find a suiting male to use for breeding with my Blues mom for a Blues bx2, later Blues bx3 and ibl in time

well heres the video and ill get some older pictures in an follow up update within a few days

enjoy...

a little Youtube update from my green house

Smelly Berry ( Blues x Blue berry), Killer Skunk ( Blues x ( blues x blue berry) ) and a Blues itself
the Blues mom is very bushy and hard to tell from the others in this recording ( ill get a better picture of her posted soon)

2:20 - 2:25 into the movie and later at 3:45 to 4:00 you can see the 3 Smelly Berries out on the left

then the 5 Killer Skunks and 2 KS freaks on the extreme right ( they 2 freaks will not be used in breeding of course)

Blues can be seen from 3:15 to 3:28 ( white bucket)
ill get some better pictures taken separately of the Blues momma and posted later in my grow diary/thread
