and I posted it up ,because it was all i could think of even though the
title to the thread was Harvest party ..lol Music is such a great connector...
hope the party is a Great time... Sure sounds like food and treats a-plenty..

25 folks so far..
weather looks great...
We may not be able to accommodate all in our guest rooms and RV but we could set up tents on farm or there are small sleeper cabins down by the river..
Roosters crow at 530 am for wake and bake coffee session..
1st up milks the goats..
Fresh for strong French pressings...

Thinking will start feasting around 5pm
Were doing pot luck do let us know if you can contribute, think so far we got a bounty of amazing foods from a wonderful harvest...
Can show up anytime but we will be firing it up big time at 420 pm and of course before and after, pretty much constant round here with us like minded folk..
Weather looks gorgeous..
If anyone needs off farm accommodation, guests rooms are full can camp in RV, but those roosters will wake you up early, PM me for info on mountain cabin rentals this time of year will be available about a 1/2 hour drive from farm real nice..

Wish I could join.....alas all the way in Pagosa Springs and no one to watch my farm this weekend......would have been really cool just to stop by for a few and meet folks. Hard to have friends when you grow for a living

Crock pot slow cooked elk roast with potato's carrots and onion...
In this huge world there's is nothing better than crock pot meat...

From our farm kid/friend..
Tenderized stuffed duck breast rolls. thinking my traditional stuffing
From our friend up at the high dollar guest ranch..
Rolled, lots of rolled meats, pork shoulder roast stuffed with not sure but will be amazing...
A nice chicken soup..
Salad..
Gravekat..

He knows his way around a salad bowl for sure....
Veggies...
Potatoes, carrots, and butternut squash roasted in butter and honey...
Garden corn in butter...
Mac and cheese form our local friends....
Deserts, chocolate flourless gauche fudge cakes, apple turnovers..
Will be a variety of fine cannabis flowers and extracts..
Best of all is the gathering of folks who love celebrating life with real food.
I am amazed at these gatherings the fellowship we share. We indulge heavily but everyone is active bright, funny, folks all pitch in and help to make these wonderful gatherings possible...
If wine is consumed total moderation, nothing worse than a drunk like me rambling and stumbling.
I was however once very famous as a chef, the Guzzling Gourmet they called me back in my drunk years lol...
So much more to living than rush rush eat whatever.
Harvest is in and it was wonderful. Time to rejoice slow down for awhile, plan for next year..
Got enough coffee and hash dube in me for now off I go rooster crowing.
