Yea I have started a little journal with pics 'n' stuff, but I have restarted since only 2 days so even Anne Frank had more to write in two days

Screwed up my first plant like a retard, but I have gathered a little more info these past few days and I decided to try again...

I would recommend you not go from outside to inside. If your plant attracts some bad bugs it will be hard to get rid of them and will infect your indoor space. When I started growing I started outdoors along with working on outdoor weed farms up in Northern California. At the time, indoor growing was a new thing. Over the years I've noticed that it is getting harder and harder to grow weed outdoors due to the usual issues(bugs, drought, etc.) but now with climate change making everything more extreme it's getting harder and harder to get to final harvest which is why I prefer growing indoors now. More responsibility as everything the plant needs is dependent on you but you have much more control over the quality of your smoke.

Here's what I would recommend you do. If you will be doing indoor growing, which I suggest for every new grower, start in a small tent with one plant. I recommend a 2/.6 x 2/.6 x 4/1.2 or taller grow tent. A good full spectrum LED light to supply the light energy for the plant along with a speed controllable inline exhaust fan so that you can exchange the air in the tent with fresh air along with using it to control your temperature and humidity.

I would also recommend you place your tent in a bedroom or small office that has access to the home HVAC. We call them lung rooms. This way you can control the temperature and humidity inside the tent by controlling the temperature and humidity in the lung room. Your exhaust fan will draw in the preconditioned lung room air to bring the environment inside your tent within the range you want it. A basement is also a good space as it is usually cool and when the lights go on and add heat to the tent you want a cool lung room so that the exhaust fan can draw in the cool air and cool down the tent to the range you want to be in.

The gear I like to use comes from a company called AC Infinity. IMO, they have the best grow gear and are constantly updating and releasing new products that make growing easier. They actually started out as specialist in keeping electronic equipment racks cool by developing cool, easy solutions that everyone from industrial to home users could use. I'm guessing one of the engineers smoked weed and saw how their products could crossover without too many changes. Check them out. They have some really nice gear at not to expensive a price.

Now I have a big one that I am also building myself while my babies are waiting to come out of ground. Than the small tent will be useful, so I have a little time before me to finish the big one.

However I checked out the grow tent from AC INFINITY, but didn't find the price and it looks insane...digital panel, smartphone connection, everything included.....must cost an arm, but I bet the price is worth it. Sadly though, it's certainly way out of my budget, but I'm definateley curious of the price.
I am planning on buying one end of june. A real one! Real cheap, but I gotta keep checking up on these air exchange systems...I was asking myself, would it not be equal to just opening the door a couple minutes, several times a day? Stupid question, I know, but financially speaking, could help out just in case.

My grow tent or grow zone is in the basement and in the same room as the water heater so the temp in the room remains basically near 71 - 73 degrees in spring and summer, depending on the weather of course. Humidity in the basement is basically zero

y a pas besoin tout ca et de la nouvelle technologie, un grow a l'ancienne c'est se qu'il y a de mieux pour apprendre et comprendre sa plante . un bon panneau led c'est tout se qu'il te faut. pour le reste pas besoin de payer des centaines et des centaines d'euros je fonctionne avec le matos le plus basique et le resultat et au rendez vous

There's no need for all that and new technology, an old-fashioned grow is the best way to learn and understand your plant. A good LED panel is all you need. For the rest, there's no need to pay hundreds and hundreds of euros I work with the most basic equipment and the results are there

A/C? In a European house?

I had some British friends stay with me for a few months decades ago and I remember on the way to the airport them telling me how much they were going to miss the home A/C and window screens!

Having located a good spot is a big step in locking down your grow space. I would suggest your next step be acquiring a hygrometer and placing it in the space to take readings at different times of the day. While the seasons will change those readings some, having a base idea of what the average temperature and humidity are in your space will inform how you want to setup your space and your gear decisions later. You say that there is zero humidity but unless your house is located in the middle of the Sahara Desert, I'm sure you have some level of humidity. Knowing what the average humidity levels are will inform you of how large a humidifier you will need to keep your space within range if the averages are that extreme.

I like your DIY attitude. I also like to DIY as much of my gear as I can.

Take a few pictures of the grow space and post them. We can give you suggestions as to how to effectively, but most importantly, cheaply outfit your space to be able to maximize the performance of your plants.

I use to build grow rooms for a living so I have a little experience to offer as far as how to get where you want to go on a small budget. Automation is usually the goal of most but if you have the time to tend to your gardens a basic setup is easily doable at a reasonable price.
I was in need of a humdifier but didn't have the disposable income to buy a new one at that time. I went to the local 2nd hand store and found a one gallon humidifier for $7 that worked beautifully. It didn't have the environmental monitoring my AC Infinity T3 humidifier has I just relied on my hygrometer readings and adjusted manually.

BTW the 2 x 2 link I posted is $399 USD. Not sure what the idiocy of our government will do to final pricing but that is what it costs here in the US.

I'm also a fan of AC Infinity stuff, good quality at a decent price. I started with one their all-in-one tents. Does everything you need and their cs is v good as well.

Oh HVAC is A/C? Here in France we have what we call VMC which is a system that sucks air out of the house to exchange fresh and old air.
Being that the basement air is basically always fresh in my house (especially the laundry room) I could actually place my box in between the two openings....One gives into the laundry room and the other is the VMC (not HVAC...what an idiot I am ) that way I could have"used" air sucked out by the VMC and Fresh air sucked in from the laundry room, no?

HERE I HAVE LINED THE OUTSIDE WITH THICK AND STRONG INDUSTRIAL PLASTIC TO ENCOURAGE THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT AND I HAVE ALSO ADDED 3M CAR BODY TAPE TO HELP WITH IMPERMEABLE FACTEUR. NOTHING GETS OUT, NOTHING COMES IN. SCREWS ARE ADDED TO HOLD STRONGLY EVERYTHING TOGETHER.

AND HERE THE TWO PANELS HAVE ALSO PLASTIC AND TAPE UNDERNEATH. TWO WOODEN PANNELS ARE ADDED TO BE ABLE TO SETUP MY LIGHTING SYSTEM FIRMLY WITH NO RISK OF FALLING.


Once I have all that assembled together I will than add 2 Windshield Solar Protection Panels for the reflection effect for the light.

Depends on cultivar/genetics but typically an indica dominant strain will grow low and bushy while a sativa strain will grow tall and lanky. If you're in a box with limited space I would go with an indica strain. Height will depend on how large you grow your plant in the vegetative stage. Count on your plant doubling in size once you induce the flowering stage of your plant if you are using photoperiod seeds. If you are using auto seeds then size can range from 18" to 8 ft.

Yea my space is in total darkness when lights are out 'cause I will be growing in the room where I practice my Guitar and Vocals as long as composing my own stuff and I had completely sealed the window glass so noone can see inside and try to break in. So light is 200% out when I turn off.
If I leave the clear plastic though, nothing will reflect the light of the LED during light hours though.....is that important to reflect?

I got to know @figolus almost a week ago and I can say he seems pretty cool and a real pleasure to talk with. Not some "I know better than you" prick. A really good guy.

But when you say 12/12 or 18/6 (If I studied right)...that means 18 hours light, 6 hours dark etc., right?

12 hours of darkness will trigger a photoperiod cannabis plant to flower. Generally 18 hours of sun light is enough to keep a plant in veg. It’s not advised to go any lower than 18 hrs of daylight until you’re ready to flip. Some growers here start that process and lower the daylight hours over a period of time! I haven’t tried that, but I know it’s a thing : )

Yes. There are a few types of seeds that you can use depending on how you want to grow.

Regular seeds are photoperiod seeds. Plants grown from photoperiod seeds depend on the duration of light energy to tell it when to start flowering. In nature, when fall and winter are coming the temperature starts to drop but the length of daylight also shortens. This is how the plant knows when to start flowering. When the plant receives less than this amount of direct sunlight it knows that winter is coming so it needs to grow flowers to produce seeds that it can drop when it dies and continue the circle of life when spring comes and those seeds in the ground germinate and sprout. Using regular seeds means you will have to grow all the seeds and wait until they show their sex when you are flowering them. This means you'll have to cull some of the males that grow lest they pollinate your female plants producing flowers with seeds in them.

Feminized photo period seeds are regular seeds that have had a process done to them to ensure female seeds. This can be done through a few different processes but normally it is done using colloidal silver. These seeds will almost always grow as females so no need to have to spend weeks growing plants only to have them come up male.

Auto seeds are seeds that have been genetically altered to not use photoperiodism as its signal to flower. It uses time as its internal clock. I do not recommend auto seeds for beginners. Auto seeds are finicky and don't give you enough time to correct whatever issues the plant may be having but you don't have to depend on light time duration to get them to flower. They will flower regardless.

My recommendation is to use feminized photo period seeds your first time around since you don't have the room to be growing 10 plants at once to be able to cull out the males.

To answer your question, Yes. Using regular or feminized seeds will allow you to determine when you want your plant to start flowering unlike an auto that will do it for you. For someone that has a lot of room in their grow space that means they can vegetate a large plant then flower it for a nice bounty but in your case your space is limited so, again, my suggestion is for you to use the feminized seed to ensure a female plant and grow it to around 1/3 of the total vertical space you have inside your grow chamber. Change your light schedule from 18 hrs on and 6 hrs off to 12 on/12 off. The plant will "stretch"(high growth period) for a few weeks then you'll start seeing flower sites forming. You want to anticipate enough room for your plant to grow into and still allow enough room between the light and the tops of the flowers so they don't get burned from the heat of the light.

Dépend si c'est de la indica ou de la sativa et du temps de croissance que tu vas lui donner , en général on attend que la plante a 6 étages , on coupe l'apex se qui va donner un buisson touffue. C'est se qu'on font la plus part des growers

Depends on whether it's indica or sativa and the growth time you're going to give it. Generally, we wait until the plant has 6 floors, then we cut the apex, which will give it a bushy bush. This is what most growers do.
