hi everyone

I'm growing a Gelato autoflower organicallty, and I'm at week 10 (day 71) and I see what seems to be a difficency in my plant..
I might be wrong as I'm a first time grower.
I planted in 5gl of FF (frog and OF) and fed it twice so far: week 4 and week 7
first feed:
  • 5 tblsp of Dr Earth
  • 5 tblsp of 4-4-4 all purpose
  • 20 tblsp of earthworm casting
second feed:
  • 7 tbsp of Dr. Earth bloom
  • 3 tbsp of 4-4-4 Gaia all purpose
  • 20 tbsp of earthworm casting
I didn't feed more because I thought I'll harvest by week 10.. maybe it was a mistake?
I also have a CO2 bag there and kept the humidity in good shape (70-80% during seedling, 70% during veg, slowing going down to 40% for flower)
overall the temp was pretty high so far in the tent, around 77-80F / 26-27C.

Any idea what can cause this? what is the problem, and how can I solve it? if it's not too late?

Those leafs won’t recover but it looks like cal mag deficiency to me. What is your water source?

Having said that you are growing flower now and not leafs so concentrate on those.

tap water. I waited a day to get rid of the fluoride (probably spelling this wrong), PHd to about 6.5 and watered. I gave it molasses once a week.
probably should have fed it more.
Do you think it's worth feeding now? what should I add, if I feed organic?

You can add a bacterial tea, itll take 2 days to make in proper conditions. Add molasses, compost, worm castings and kelp or seaweed to the dechlorinated water and add an air stone to bubble. Until then you can add an amino acid with good stuff in it. Amino acid can be produced by running water slowly through compost and straining it. That juice is high in amino acids which are good for the plant, read dosages but maybe a bit of calcium and magnesium will help, epsom salts are your mag and eggshells are the calcium, however itll be impossible for the eggshells tp breakdown fast enough so maybe a premade calmag suppliment is best, you can also foliar feed in the meantime, only do it in dark, not in light or you risk burning the leaves but theyll uptake the nutes you spray on them. Make sure you read up on mixtures and dosages and DILUTE ENOUGH IT FEELS SAFE TO YOU, then foliar feed. After it sits on the leaves for a cpuple hrs and they absorb the nutes, rinse the residue off the leaves with just water and make sure you have good air flow so the leaves dry up. Aloe is a good foliar spray. Diluted sea salt water is good to add minerals and you can also just grab some liquid chemical nutes to allow the plant to uptake what it needs ASAP, they are ready for the plant to eat them asap so tjats why itll be an easier way to adjust this issue quicker than organic methods. BE CAREFUL bc they can be toxic is not used correctly. Read read read some other info before implimemting these suggestions

Thanks for taking the time to answer! It's a little too complicated for me, I'll have to do lots of reading. I knew that the first grow will be a huge learning curve for me. Appreciate the help!

Not really the most info to absorb. Just choose a method and take 15 t0 20 mins to learn about that one. Then the next day read a new topic. If not just get the chem nutes and use less than their suggested amount and wait to see the results

You really want to spray buds with worm poop? Sounds like a terrible idea.

I didnt suggest foliar poop. I suggested foliar alow or sea salt water. The compost tea is to add into the soil.

ya- Looks like you ran out of food in the soil mix and only fed 2 times. Id say they are way hungry and missing micros. Id would also add something along the lines of a tea or Bio Pak or recharge. These products have so many micro nutrients and bios the plants love them. Be careful foliar feeding right now if your environment isn't spot on. You could have top dressed, cover crop, worm cast ect. a little more in the beginning to add slow release ferts. But now you need to fix fast so go to the liquid application now. Whats done is done so just make em happy for the remainder of their lives.

Yea you sir are correct. I didnt recognize hes in flower. In that case the teas in the soil are how to go and for me, id burden myself the 2 hrs it would take to lightly and carefully spray the undersides on the fan leaves to still offer some foliar without spraying budds. Some may disagree with this but to me as long as it wasnt applied to the actual flowers, it would only assist in the budd development
