Lumen is a decent light. The new Lumen I've read are comparable to the CXB3590s. I'm running the CXB3590s and they're great lights. I've had very fast veg growth from them. Running 3x 100w CXB3590 in a 2x4 right now over four plants (will be three). This is my first time using for flower and just flipped today, so I can't personally attest to their flower power but I've heard they work great in this cycle as well. If you still haven't upgraded Quantum is probably your best bet but take a look at the Black Sun fixtures by ShenZhen (Panda/CF Grow). They are using Vero29 or Lumen. They're extremely cheap if ordered direct and so are the CXB3590 fixtures.
Are you talking about the “cob” light I have . Idk if it’s effective but plants are growing I’ll order qb soon .

Your Lumen are good but the new ones being used in the Black Sun lights are supposedly excellent. But do your due diligence. QBs have a great rep. I don't think you'll go wrong with any of these.

The S9 is the model I'm looking to possibly buy next. It uses Lumen COBs. Again, there are Vero29 Gen7 models as well, if you want to go with a "tried and true" COB. 270w wall draw, they say it is equivalent to 810w hps. I trust ShenZhen after owning a couple of their lights now.
New Product DIY Module Warm White COB 640x640

Is running $500 on Amazon, under $300 factory direct on Alibaba. Don't know about taxes/tariffs/shipping, you'll have to contact them to find out. Don't know it's effectiveness because it's a new fixture.

Here are examples of the Vero29 units and they have CXB3590s too.

I don't know how they stand up against the Quantum Boards.

Thanks I use Alibaba too . That’s where I’m trying to get my qb from . Only thing shipping is a beast . All and all from my first grow. I’m just looking to make some compact dank buds . Not a dealer just this hobby is so addictive as well as being in control of your outcome . I want this to be an on going thing so a veg tent is a must . I’m in a compact apartment. Second grow is always easier expense wise since you have all the materials. So for here on out I’m looking into the most productive and best solutions. I love this site for all the growers out there willing to give an old timer some advice . Things have changed from 10 years ago .i like the light you have . Think for now I can get an 288 board and get my first 3 going . Clone and keep it moving .

@SmithsJunk did you build your lights or buy unit? I'm considering the switch for my veg area. Looking to light a 2x4.

Timber still has Samsung QB in stock ready to hang. Single 288 might be in your price range. Have to call and request though, not on website. Ask for Dan.
Looked at site didn’t see any . Sent an email . You will have a monster(s) with those cobs . I wish best of luck

I bought mine because it was easier and not much more. I can build them but can't find the nice cases they're in separately. Now, it's so cheap to buy prebuilts that in many cases they're less expensive than DIY. If you order direct from China.

Personally I don't think it needs any training yet, you gout nothing to tie down yet. Top again, let it go a while then start tying down branches

Going qb . Cobs are nice . I have a “cob” not sure how true it is .

You can buy a complete Quantum 304 on Amazon between $179-$300. Not a bad price for what you get. I dont know how much cheaper it is to build one. I know the concentrated COBs, and the Quantums by rep only.
