As far as using new nutes goes. Start with half dose then slowly work your way up, see how your plant responds. Etc....def dont dump a ton of nutes in. Water til you get runoff. let it dry out. Then water.

I would suggest buying a 30$ ppm pen. Measuring ppm is more important than ph when your in organic soil imo. Ph is buffered by well kept living soil. Ppm is always a hard fact that needs to be kept In check

okay yeah that makes sense. I'll start with just half doses see how they look:):). I'll have to read more about a ppm reader haven't even thought about that at all. I was thinking i might be running to much co2 but I'm not sure if it would cause these problems. lol gosh I'm a mess haha.

Its not no but there is a UK thread and some in other languages I think. I dont much like british ppl plus it widens my horizons to chat to ppl in other countries i hope lol

well of course they didn't have the digital photo reader so I went and just bought the solution for now. I used it and it's in between 5-6. does that mean I need more solution?

i used the ph solution and it gives me a color chart so whatever color the water turns is around the ph level. I used it and it was in between them 5-6. does that mean I need to add more nutes?

No that's measured by EC or ppm. Your measuring the ph of your nute solution or water before use. What mix you growing in? Potting mix ph levels are slightly lower than real soil.

I was measuring my water with nutes in it just 1 gal of distilled water with 1 tsp of nutes. I use royal gold on the bottom of the pot and myco-fusions mycorrhizae charged biologic soil

Does this help. There are a few charts for ph in hydro soil and soiless etc
Real soil has sand and clay in it. So if its a potting mix out if a bag the ph is slightly lower than soil. Don't get fooled by saying your in soil if your not.

I grow in potting mix. I range my ph from 5.8 to 6.5. It's important to range it up and down but not too suddenly. Ph 6 is ideal to start with till u get the hang of it.
My mix has volcanic sand in it and EWC and has an EC of 1.5.
I amend it with mycozia and rice hulls and crab meal. I don't know what your mix is but I think we can assume it's nor real soil?? We don't have that over here

this is the top soil I use. it does come in a bag. I have no idea how to even read that chart hahha. Sorry I'm a rook. lol
