The inline fan cools itself with the air it pulls through, so that shouldn't be a problem. When you get some cash, try and buy some dyna-mat. Its a sound dampening product used for high end car stereo set ups. You can cut and paste it to fit on the fan. It will quiet that sound. Usually it costs about $100 for a pack, but you could try a custom audio shop and see if you can buy off the leftover scraps they have. Or build a box around it. There is a great tutorial on the farm by @sedate

Also, @TrichromeFan put up a sweet diy muffler post for inline fans. https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/diy-fan-muffler.24352/
I run two per inline fan and they work wonders.

When you are expecting company, get to cooking. Collards, haggis, and a crock pot of some beef is always a good scent cover. About 10 minutes before start caramelizing onions. You can continue cooking these for about 35-45 minutes till your guests are gone.

I know you're short on cash, but imho security is priority number 1 for me. Look around for security threads, lots of gold to be found. In an apartment, you must have a very quick exit strategy as well. Best of luck!

Thanks rick, lots of helpful tips there. Appriciate it pal.

Il keep looking into ways to sort this out as Id hate to have to stop now

Heres a pic of the two new shoots on one of my plants 3 days after topping, everything looking ok?

Yeah, yet lol

Btw the pots are feeling light so Il be feeding them later. Should I up the nutes a bit due to the stress from topping?

Iv been giving them 0.5ml per litre of AN Grow Micro Bloom and keeping PPM under 300 and they are now just over two weeks old.

Should I start increasing nutes now that Iv topped and the plants are entering early veg?

Wait for the plants to tell you they need something...if they look fine at 300ppm then keep them there...

Theres a bit of upward leaf curling, purple stems, and purple veins in the leafs as well as the first leafs (single finger) are turning pale green and looking like they are dying.

Could this be calmag deficiancy?

sounds like its time to bump up the nute strength...the leafs turning pale are a nitrogen deficiency, the leaf curling could be many different things...up your ppms and it should clear up...

Ok, Im still unsure of the AN 3 part nutes. It seems strange to me that your meant to feed the Grow Micro & Bloom in equal amounts the whole way through veg and bloom.

Not sure how to add nitrogen if all 3 are meant to be used equally

Like maybe go from 0.5ml per liter to 1ml per litre?

Or

My Plant Magic Magne Cal is high in N (2.26% on the label) so I could add 0.5ml per litre of that?

Which route should I go? Maybe the Magne Cal route because purple stems sometimes mean a deficiancy in that?

Also couldnt just mixing it stronger cause overdose of other nutes like P & K which could cause further problems?

you have a nitrogen, and phosphorus deficiency, the purple stems and purple veins in the leaves indicate that...your nutes need to be a little stronger...don't double it...

Thanks mate. Would upping them from 0.5ml per litre to 0.75ml per litre be ok?

I just bumped the feed up from 0.5ml per litre to 0.75ml per litre and that bumped the PPM from just under 300 up to 350.

Also, is there such a thing as too much runoff when feeding in a hempy? I know they say 20%-30% but Im feeding 1L per plant and some give 40% while one even gives 50% runoff

i really dont think so.

the reason you want runoff with coco is to prevent salt buildups in the coco...i've also seen people use drip clean with their nutes and use no runoff...

However, with a hempy I would water until it comes out the hole in the bucket...if you think about it, the bottom perlite section acts as a built in runoff reservoir with coco...
