I use and really enjoy my Herb Iron. I feel that it is worth the money without question. Some members here suggested a way to build something similer, however, at the end of the day the features of the Herb Iron are very nice.

herbiron is cool for push slides, but for martinis or anything deep they can be a bit of a bitch imo...if it had a flared end that would be better I think

my bad, forget ppl use bongs to smoke nug, i use mine w/ a concentr8 slide... works better than a wand. pinpoint precision in my illy concentr8 slide, when a wand mushrooms a lil it wont even fit, gotta break the tip off, broken glass sucks too. i got a chunk still stuck in my thumb.

completely different, the tip on the vriptech is alot wider, like 2000% wider, and isnt ment to be used with the same bowlpiece. vriptech is ment to hover about an inch above the herb and is adjustable so u can dial in the heat n use it to vape nug without burning it, like a heat gun(its actually made from a heat gun) and the herb iron is generally touched to the nug(or concentrate) and incinerates it as it isnt adjustable. ive never tried hovering it to vape(anyone else?). ive actually always wondered, cause wands are supposedly "vape wands" but it seems the idea is just not using a lighter so youre not usin tane lighters. but i digress... the herb iron tip is ceramic which doesnt leave residues, and the vriptech is too but surrounded by glass. so, to answer your question, vriptech is a wand heat gun n a herbiron is an electric glass wand

I reverted to glass wands. I've had 3 go out on me this year, and even with the guys @ alt going above n beyond to get it replaced without a reciept, herb irons customer service isn't very good. Seems like half their time is spent dealing with repairs. I took one apart to find out their soldering job came undone, told em before I sent it, and they told me they couldn't fix it cause I disasembled it. The kicker is that they tried to tell me they couldn't return the broken one for liability reasons... Some bs for sure, their poor qc costs me money... I'll use my wands again, if I break 5 in a year I'll still be saving money. If I cut myself I'll still be saving myself alot of pain in dealing with these jokers. I already got a torch on the table for bho anyway so I'm good to go

Bloads, the nug still incinerates wether you touch it or not, so is it really any different?it's ceramic so it won't oxidize or leave a residue...

Same principle as a vaporizor: why use unnecessary amounts of heat when lesser amounts will do, and won't destroy as many terpenes?

Also, sounds like either you'd have shitty luck or I've had great luck with the herb iron. Had mine since it came out (1 1/2 years?) and it's still working fine.

I just snatched a Herb Iron at a headshop yesterday for $70 and i am stoked i bought it. I was sick of lighting hemp wick and i havent used a lighter to smoke in a LONG time.

Buy one if you get the chance!

I Love my herb iron. Bought it originally when i had wrist surgery havent stopped using it since. Def helps to preserve the flavor of the herb your smoking. also they have a vape attachment for them i think as well.
