Yes, I have grown autos. Six hours of darkness sure wont hurt it.@CannaGranny do you grow using Autos? I think I will start giving it 6 hours of darkness it can’t cause any problems if I was to do it than to if I was to keep it on 24 hours will it?
most of my grows have been autos. I prefer photos now but I have ethos autos ill grow out.@Habosabin do you grow with Autos?
If there’s no difference, why not go with the choice that saves money? Turn the light on or off, there’s no difference in growth. Is that what you’re saying?I’d say leave it at 24 unless problems come up. Lots of people have successful grows both ways and most are firmly committed to what they think is best. I’ve done both in veg with photo plants and couldn’t tell a difference good or bad.
Hey Ky, I've grown autos a few times with good results on a 18/6 light/dark cycle. They need that darkness. Yours look great and are just getting underway, so you've probably got 7-8 weeks of flower depending on how ripe you like them. GNick55 is exactly right about the timing, just make sure the lights are on a timer and you're good to go. Patience is the hardest part, lol! Great job so far!@GNick55 do you use Autos?
Ok no worries thanks for your advice.I personally would never do 24 hours on any plant, I know some do. I'd do at least a 4 hour dark period.
@Oldguy71 so you are just saying keep it the same then? And don’t change the light cycleI’d say leave it at 24 unless problems come up. @N1ghtL1ght nice one for you advice I might do the 18/620/4 is the established regime to do autos. It's not mandatory but many breeders will use it so it stands to reason it's accustomed to that. Higher DLI or less PPFD for same DLI also has some PRO arguments.
Been doing 24/0 alot for seedlings until all are popped to guarantee they always see the light right away. And for revegging. Some early flowering mothers also need that.

I haven’t got that much heat where I’m at the weather is crap so I will just do it at night time switch the lights off.C3 type plants don't need dark periods. It's the total DLI that they cant handle. It's why a low watt light can do 24/0 without issue. I give it darkness during the warmest part of the day for temperature control purposes.

@Edinburg how long does it take till you start to see improvements?Atami Bloombastic works well with my autos, 30ml per USgal waterd down or you will burn them, but yes good stuff.
I was thinking the same! Haha 30MLBruh what? Bloombastic is like 4ml/gal tops
@Oldguy71 so you think I should just leave it on 24 hours and forget about itSave money but have to remember every night to turn off lights and close things up, leave on 24 and forget about it.
