I also wanna say, in case it came across wrong, that Im well aware that having a good set up doesnt instantly make you a good grower, you have to go through the learning process like everyone else and the more years you have it shows usually. But some people like me with limited resources can grow very good weed with what we have available. Some day I would like to upgrade my set up, and my house for that matter, but right now one works with what he has, I dont have a set up in which increasing CO2 is gonna make any difference with the lights I have and with no AC. Im glad enough that I can play with temps and humidities because I have several cheap in-line fans to increase or decrease airflow and hopefully get my VPD right for most of the time. Also if cheap LEDs have an advantage that would be that theyre very good stoves in winter with little wattageI barely have to turn on my electric stove, only in very cold days. You could probably cook an egg on top of one of mine and its only 150W. I use aluminum baking molds as passive refrigeration on top of them... better than nothing pfhahaha.
Thanks, your not coming across wrong at all. I hear what your saying, no argument from me!
I've run this thread before with the same results. There are way too many variables to come up with a solid answer to this. Some strains are a little fluffy in flower, others are more dense. I've even seen this in strain details coming from seedbanks... Example, Northern Lights Bud Density rating 7 out of 10...So the strain could have something to do with it as well.
Grower skill and equipment can have a big effect on density.
Pests, disease, unknowns can also effect bud health etc...
Chemicals may be in use by some growers to "cheat" a bit.
As I typed before, in this hobby it could be this, could be that, maybe so maybe no..... Sometimes you go in circles or just spin you wheels a bit. This thread is a classic example, there is no definite answer...
In any case, I'll keep growing and learning ! To the guy that recommended " don't worry about bud density"--- I think you have the best answer here on the forum. I've decided to forget about it for now...
Thanks all !
