No one made a rule lol, a watering can works well, and theoretically there should be an increase in yield regardless.Who's the dumb fucker who made that rule? How do you water under the 8" trellis? Why even scrog a short indica; whats the point?
How many grams/sqft do you get with indica in a 8" scrog vs indica in no scrog? Pics? Where do I find this low profile water can? Pics?No one made a rule lol, a watering can works well, and theoretically there should be an increase in yield regardless.
I like to experiment too. Not trying to increase yield though. I just grow for quality nowadays. I want short plants that don't need a scrog. I'm into easy; I only scrog if I have to.Its called an experiment, nothing ventured nothing gained.
That's good question and one I am currently working to answer, I want to set a baseline of yield with my current strain using a SCRoG grow. How many grams/sqft do you get with indica in a 8" scrog vs indica in no scrog? Pics? Where do I find this low profile water can? Pics?
Man that looks like a pain in the ass way to water. That's good question and one I am currently working to answer, I want to set a baseline of yield with my current strain using a SCRoG grow.
I have cloned my plants x2 and have the babys in a veg chamber until harvest and I can start a new crop, the highest yeild plant will be the clone mother for my next screen grow and the remaining clones with the exception of the future mom wil get planted and grow un-molested.
At that point I will be able to determine the difference in yeild.

I looks like you are gonna have plenty of vertical space left over. In fact, it doesn't look like the scrog is even doing much.I use a top dressing with dry nutrient powder so I'm already down there turning the soil on a regular basis, and with a tent you can sneak a hand in around the side or back of the screen and water too.
Ass pain yes, but it seems to be working so far.
I didn't think so either, that's why I wanted some opinions on whether its worth dropping the screen lower to try and be more efficient at forcing horizontal growth in order to maximize total square footage of the canopy at flower.I looks like you are gonna have plenty of vertical space left over. Plan is also to start doing multiple layers of growth simultaneously in the same tent using shelving.I didn't think so either, that's why I wanted some opinions on whether its worth dropping the screen lower to try and be more efficient at forcing horizontal growth in order to maximize total square footage of the canopy at flower.
Watering is an after thought, creativity solves that problem.
Looks like a trellis rather than a scrog.
Complete and total waste of time, money and effort but please carry on with the stupidness. Someday a light will go on and you will realize your experiment is a waste of time, money and effort.Plan is also to start doing multiple layers of growth simultaneously in the same tent using shelving.
If you have an 8' ceiling, it might be possible to have two layers. You could use the bottom 2' for a mother and clones and the top for production. Growing 2 layers from seed would be tough and less productive.I didn't think so either, that's why I wanted some opinions on whether its worth dropping the screen lower to try and be more efficient at forcing horizontal growth in order to maximize total square footage of the canopy at flower.

Good thing its my time not your timeComplete and total waste of time, money and effort but please carry on with the stupidness. Someday a light will go on and you will realize your experiment is a waste of time, money and effort.
