Looking good. How are you drying your hash after you turn it to a puck?
you mean after washing and freezing it/grating it,.
i just put in the drying room in a cardboard box lined with parchment paper with a dry sift screen or cardboard lid to cover but never closed completely,. a fan on low in the room for airflow,. i also broke up the dried clumps a few times,..
temps in the room on their own without help from me is daytime time temp 64-68 humidity 50-55,.. nighttime temp 50-60 humidity 40-50,.. so good enough ideally if you wanted to dial it in better than temps 50-55 and humidity 35-45,. 24/7

I was doing this at first too but started using the fridge shortly after. I actually didn’t know for sure if a regular fridge would be too humid but as long as you have your hash sifted thin it works great for drying. I’m getting super light colored hash using colder dry environment.

yes,. if i have some weed that i want to try to make the best i can than ill do the fridge for a few days than put in a “controlled” environment in drying room,.. otherwise most times its like what i just did with this stuff,. though to be honest ive never been driven? by the colour as a sign of anything in particularly different,.

In my opinion the taste is night and day. Brown or Black Hash never taste like blond hash. And blond hash tastes like full on terps.

I actually go from freezer 6-12hrs (freeze so I can break up to pieces easily to dry before going to sift) to fridge 12 hrs (this drys the pieces more) then re freeze (12hrs) so I can sift easy then into fridge (12hrs) to dry before I press or bag to make rosin. At that point it’s ready to smoke.

Try it with a small amount I swear it will be night and day.

well i guess in a sense it’s like fresh frozen,. and yes i agree about the taste but that’s not a hashish taste as in good old black hash,.

I’ve had what I’m speaking of pressed and aged too. In my opinion it brings a whole different aspect to the hash. Your still gonna get your hash flavor as the terpene change with age but you’ll have a full fledged flavor from the terpene you’ve managed to save from preserving those heads.

Personal opinion no worries if you feel differently. 🤝

I’m definitely a fan of fresh hash as opposed to aged…kind of like the difference between Charas and Temple Balls.

yes i agree with ya its true about the difference,. (and of course no hard feelings, you got hash making skills im impressed with your strive for quality and perfection and knowledge)!,.
though i feel the stone is different,,
it happened back in the day before hashish was popular but as it became more popular in mid 80’s to 90’s the hashish farmers ran out of stored resin as demand increased and so for a year or two hashish was hard to find and though once fields were harvested for hashish exportation it wasn’t stored for a yr etc and we could tell the difference though weren’t complaining at all,. i love all hashish, though id rather be making it with landrace strains,..
