I dry whole plants, hanging in total darkness, until the main branches snap inside when bent, but the outer part of the stem doesn't break. Usually a week to 10 days, depending on when I last watered and how well I can manage the temp and RH. I aim for 65F and 55% RH when drying. Then I dry trim and put the buds in wide mouth 32oz (about a liter) mason jars. The jars go in a dark cool area. I don't add humidity packs yet. Here's the curing schedule:
Week 1: burp twice a day for 30 minutes.
Week 2: burp once a day.
Week 3: burp twice a week.
Week 4: burp once a week.
Then I add a #8 62% Boveda pack to each jar. (Technique borrowed/stolen/learned from Welcome to the Growtent.)

oww really only 2 ounces :( thanks tho!If I haven't said it already, Howdy, and welcome to the Farm!
Just a ballpark guess I would say 2 maybe 3 ounces total.
As far as boveda packs, I've never needed them, but I believe 62% is the most commonly used one. It largely depends on your environment and personal preferences.
got it. btw my medium is now dry and i still have 3 days left before harvest. should i still water them or no and leave them until harvest?Since you have a scale, weigh a couple cuts to record weight loss when drying. When it stops losing weight its ready to jar, just above 60%, close to relative humidity.
Probably won't make much difference either way. Just out of curiosity, what reference point are you using for harvest? Have you checked your trichomes for color changes?got it. btw my medium is now dry and i still have 3 days left before harvest. should i still water them or no and leave them until harvest?
I also checked the trichomes is this enough amber? this was taken june 4 . sorry for bad qualityProbably won't make much difference either way. Just out of curiosity, what reference point are you using for harvest? Have you checked your trichomes for color changes?
Just wondering. Let me know if you have any more questions!

A bit low so try to get your temp down to 60 and dark, it will slow the drying process. Still see some clear trichs but its harvestable anytime. Keep track of weight loss as it dries. Total loss dry will be around 75% from chop weight. Thanks guys! for the room humidity in drying them i could only do 45-50% is that okay?
What happened? I use boveda 62% with no problems, but of course I let them dry properly first, hanging them, and then a couple of weeks in the jars with burping. They actually get better with time, weed can cure for months and as long as you dont go below 55% RH they will continue curing so these packs are a blessing for me, right now Ive been smoking my last harvest for 2 plus change months and it only gets better. The smoke has gotten smoother overtime, the potency has increased and you can appreciate better the flavors. The only downside? I have to let it sit outside the jar for a day or two before smoking it because 62% humidity is a bit too much for smoking it but it sure does the job of mantaining a good humidity for curing while storing. No bud rot either, I was afraid that with constant 62% humidity that could happen but it hasnt so far.
