Any pics of 6 week flower?I really find it hard to believe that a de pulling 1200 watts from the wall not 1000 can grow buds on the outside as far as the inside.im using 1000 watt HPS in Raptors without glass (bare bulbs) and still get that hill effect
if you were to put 750w (at the wall)of vero or cree cobs over the same footprint as your 1150w(at the wall) you would most likely see an increase in final yeilds and a 40%decrease in your power bills. i have no doubt in my mind on this :cool:Ive looked into switching over to led extensively for the purposes of saving on electric and have come to the conclusion that i wud actually have to use more watts from the wall to cover the same amount of sqft
You cant just make up a footprint cause you say so.i can make my footprint a 6x6 under cobs by spreading out the heat sinks so your math didnt prove anything.there is no denying that led flat out produces more uol per watt.that is just a flat out fact.a significant increase.
But to say your footprint is bigger than mine just cause you want it to be dont mean anything.your de is around 1200 watts to be fair.im telling you I have ran hPS and cobs and cmh and think the cobs produce better.i can put a 1000w single ended 10 feet up in a 10x10 but that doesnt mean that's its footprint.
Until you at least try them this argument is dead in the water.

having used both and still using both i can say that my 3200w of cobs/quantum boards are spanking the hell out of my 4 x de lamps and the real power use on those is closer to 4600w at the plug.forget about the fact ill need 450.00 in lamps every year and at 8 months ill wish i had done it sooner because im already losing luminus flux/par from my de lamps :facepalm:

Just try them.all you gotta do and you will see what I'm talking about.i remember cutting colas out the first grow and was like holy fuk I got fat dense nugs all the way down.no larf what soever

True lol.i remember you being part of that conversation a while back.i dont think I ever said they sucked.i just said I couldnt see how they would compare from all I had heard and read on the forums.i also made the decision to at least try them and I was pretty impressed.you cant say something sucks if you never used it
