i have a homemade septic.its a 2ft hole.covered by a plastic tub,then covered with a tarp.the flies go in but they dont come out.the maggots digest and compost then hatch as flies and die.the moisture seeps into my iranian tobacco leach field.the winters arent real cold and so my tobacco regrows from rootbase.so i dont have to replant.the aromas of the tobacco are almost the same smell as fruit varieties of cannabis.
then once a year in late winter i redig the hole and just throw the compost around for the butterfly attracting plants to feed off of.
