If you get an ultrasonic, keep in mind that you will want to use distilled or Reverse Osmosis water. Tap water leaves a white film on everything from the minerals in the water.Something like this will work. The bigger the capacity the better. Quality is not really an issue with these. You want a cool mist ultrasonic with a manual on off.

Yup absolutely as with all humidifierIf you get an ultrasonic, keep in mind that you will want to use distilled or Reverse Osmosis water. Tap water leaves a white film on everything from the minerals in the water.
Yep thats what wwas happening to mine so its not into a controller now and working on its ownYou need one with either auto restart or analog. With a controller that cuts power i suggest an analog/manual on/off. If you use a digital and cut the power to it you will have to go back every time to turn it back on
Same thing though, all equipment that uses a controller thats cuts power requires analog of auto restartYep thats what wwas happening to mine so its not into a controller now and working on its own
Sorry that was my dehumidifier..wrong one ..lol
I think what you want then is just a cheap humidifier without all the controls. I've one that holds about 1 quart and its good for about 12hrs on a low setting 8hrs on high, it goes back on after a power outage but my programmable ones don't.Hello all I have two nice humidifiers but neither works with my temp/rh controller. Any suggestions on a good one that will pump out good water and work with controller?
Only if you have crap water....If you get an ultrasonic, keep in mind that you will want to use distilled or Reverse Osmosis water. Tap water leaves a white film on everything from the minerals in the water.
Should always run RO or distilled in a humidifier…. The minerals will shorten the life and coat everything with mineral deposits. Even 100-200ppm good water will do thisOnly if you have crap water....
no no no always use RO or distilled water in them otherwise the minerals in the water attach to parts on the inside then algae forms on the minerals and the water turns green within 2 weeks and its impossible with any method I know of to clean them. Even with RO water I still need to clean with vinegar every couple of weeks. I've been through a lot of humidifiers but since I started buying zero ppm RO water I've not had to buy any more.Only if you have crap water....
Even 8 ppm water will do that....I started saving my dehue water and it read 8 ppm consistently I'd thenShould always run RO or distilled in a humidifier…. The minerals will shorten the life and coat everything with mineral deposits. Even 100-200ppm good water will do this
Black line?Even 8 ppm water will do that....I started saving my dehue water and it read 8 ppm consistently I'd thendrop 5ml h2o2 /gal in it and use in my humidifiers. It still gave me algae build up that's why I went to zero ppm....cheap...I get 16 gallons for $6.50 I'll go though that in 1 week during my driest periods. Right now I'm going through 1 gallon every 3 - 4 days in my veg closet only..........
Whats with the black line? how'd I do that?
I see it going through " nBlack line?
Ahhh i have no idea how to do that but its a function of the text somehowI see it going through " ndrop 5ml h2o2 /gal in it and "
My fat fingers probably hit more than 1 key at a time.......the trick is to be able to repeat the sequence.Ahhh i have no idea how to do that but its a function of the text somehow
You can use it on a Inkbird too.Someone mentioned this already but, the only one I know of for small scale operation is the AC Infinity one. I think there are a few different sizes but they work with the ACI system if that's what you have for a controller.
