I didn't see these:

It's what I have for my extra reds. They work very well!
Now THAT is what I'm talking about! But holyyy shnikeysss that's expensive! 😂
But yeah.. I want that, and also wanna get either 4 of those.. one for each side of my light itself for flowering. Or else I wanna get that, but then also get something that would plug in to like.. a regular light bulb screw in plug. That way I could mount it at the walls or from above and have them pointing at all over the buds themselves. Just long story short.. friggen deep red everywhereee!!!! Lol I'm still welcome to any and all ideas for anything and everything guys! Whether it's light related or not!
Speaking of! What do y'all think of my grow?

Ok guys here is goes. I purchased the Side King SK7000d. And I saw reviews saying it was an awesome light, I'm so I bought it. And lemme tell ya.. it's like staring into the SUN! But HOWEVER.. I just ran across someone who said that it barely had enough far red built into it. And provided some crap buds on it because of that factor. So now.. I am looking for the ABSOLUTE cheapest way to remedy this problem by maybe giving it it far red supplemental lighting. This here is what I have in mind so far.. tell me what you guys think.. and be cruel if must!

And I am asking you guys.. way ha think? I was think that I could suspend from the ceiling the bulb style light that project forward, hang them from the side of the light and around it to make sure each plant gets it's good bit of red. But really.. I'm at a loss for words. I CAN'T go spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a light again. Just isn't possible. So.. this is my next best guess. Now if YOU guys have any better ideas that you and point and link me to that would be more efficient, not get in the way of the light, and hopefullyyy doesn't cost too too much.. I'm all ears. Thank guys. And.. good luck! N

I was reading about uv a and uvb how they effect a plant I am thinking of modifying a 4 ft shop light and getting lizard bulbs
BLOOM PLUS LED Grow Light BP 1000W 2x2ft Coverage Sunlike Full Spectrum Grow Light for Indoor Plants with 336packs Samsung Diodes(Includes IR) https://a.co/d/0zKReFZ
$50..... and you will get BIG TOPS if used along with monopotassium phosphate 0-52-34 during flowering.
P.s I used Bloom Plus 3000's but you can get same results with BP 1000 if only over 1-2 smaller plants. So yes brother, don't waste precious time and money....👍

But there's far red light in the model the OP is talking about, too. Are you saying the OP should buy additional FR lighting or not?
I find the effects of FRL on internode lengths have to fit a growers style/setup. So if it happens to not cause an unwanted stretching, like when growing tall sativas, then go for it. Otherwise there is still the option to use farred after the stretch is done. Farred is basically the only photosynthetically lightcolour that has a real deepeffect, and it can be used with a high amount of savety even if the total PPFD is already borderline high. So in some situations it's the only left option. His SPD also would enable to use more efficient 660nm red, thus these typical flower-booster extensions would fit right into that SPD if more PPFD would be needed when going from 18h light to 12h. That would be a double bonus, since it also would introduce less hardware costs than another light, and less long-term electricity costs.

So in short, if PPFD is too low in flower, rather buy 660+730 than another new full light.

Dude stop freaking out and just chill for a minute! Have you even done one grow with these lights? Don't believe everything you hear from every bro out there. His buds might have been crap from any factors and there are many factors that can affect quality. With that being said, your light is very important, but what I recommend is that you do at least a couple of grows with it. Your first grow is going to be your major learning curve grow. Your second grow you will be a lot more experienced. If after 2 or 3 grows you don't feel the light is adequate, just go out and get a light from a reputable manufacturer that is built with proper quality and specifications for your intended purpose. You may be able to use this other light for growing vegetables and other sorts of things or you can use it for starting seeds and clones. Don't go trying to throw a lot of other supplemental Red Spectrum in the mix because that may end up causing more problems than you already have.

I'm not discounting the value of far red light. My latest fixture has it built in, and before I used a separate bar of FR LEDs.

This is a new grower with a light that has as much FR light, or more, than the HPS I used less than 5 years ago. I think advising a new grower that they can't get good buds without supplemental FR is wrong.

Yeah bro that's absolutely not what I tried to get along, that was a strictly scientific/factual post on the underlying mechanisms of FRL (it's very effective even at low fluence rates) and never ment on the quality of the product. Rather on the acquisiton of more mass.... regarding quality, I'd rather put on emphasis on a reasonable UV/blue range of the spectrum. All good ✌️

Gonna sit back and check the for sale section for gear from OP...... 😄

I have no idea what experience level you have but my best advice would be what has already been mentioned. Run the light and see for yourself.

Don't take offense but you are the problem. You are the guy that runs his grow on broscience and then gets mad when you don't get "Mad Nugz". Again, I'm not trying to be offensive but before you go posting "fact" make sure that is what you are posting so that you don't expose others to less than reliable information.

Here's a suggestion. Do a run with the light as is. Do another with added FR. Same genetics, same feed, same environment, same light intensity. Compare the two. Post your findings and engage in a conversation based on empirical fact rather than anecdotal experience.

the most common mistakes start when people start complicating a simple process.

how does a rectangle make a square footprint???

Veg coverage is 6 x 6 ft, Flowering coverage is 5 x 5 ft
I only built Duh Box to those specifications because that's that's the only size I had.

And I may not ever get another grow. I'm growing for health reasons.. just take my word for it when I say.. this may be my last time I grow. MAY get two or three. But.. I dunno man, people don't have to be so rude on here. Why not just help people and show love? That's IS the meaning of life after all. So there's no need to be hostile when giving advice. I say this to all. Either way.. I'm gonna take everyone's advice and just do my run the way it is and see how it goes.

My question to you all now is.. watcha think about my light? I mean.. I know it's no HLG Scorpion Diablo or Gavita but.. for an off brand.. I think it's nice at least.
I am gonna see about just getting my own 100lb tank somewhere. But thanks for the help on that one guys.

Again, not trying to be rude but this is an issue that comes up constantly. Your light is fine. Run it. Grow your medicine. Enjoy life.

Look like a decent light according to specifications for the size of your "Duh Box"

I took some time to read the comments on amazon and most people are happy with this brand some says it's even the most underrated grow light actually on amazon for it's price.

i think you can can get good result with it even without co2

He is HLG fan. This is why he knows he doesnt not have enough red for bloom:

Why would HLG, a company with limited Cannabis lighting experience (based in Alabama) make such drastic changes over the years? Surely they begin dumb, and get smarter, yes?

My name is Bruise Bugballs, I am a Roscosmos-employed master lighter. Maybe I will share some lighting knowledge with my comrades of Thcfarmer.com

I can imagine the bud aroma of led home grow with out ample red spectrum. It remind me of legalized American cannabis purchased from American Marijuana dispensary. Very synthetic Cannabis. I can imagine the pink petioles and blue leaves on every strain.
