Ice Cold Water?

Is it true that the last few days before harvest if you put ice on top of the soil then water it in it will make the plants purple up more?

Don't know if it's true. I only know what I think I know. Or... I think I know what I know, but I don't know if I know for sure. Ya know what I mean?

I think I know what you say you know you know, only I don't know what I think I know you don't know. who knows? :eek:
But on many occasions I have flushed with cold water (no nutes) and at same time lowered air temps and foliar sprayed with cold water.
and that was almost 2 weeks to finish. I got nice yellowing on fan leaves and depending on strain you will purple up.
my theory on that is a cold fall coming in. and she ripens up
ice on soil will prolly also work, I've heard ice used on soil when grower was dealing with high temps, so the slow release of cold water to roots cooled the plant down.
