Several are possible males and the small ones have been mistreated their whole life. I'm not expecting much. Will they start? We've got over 13 hrs of light now I think. Thanks for the heads up.Hope you have some kind of light over them to stave off flowering. Or are you considering them expendable?
Thanks, that's great advice. Why didn't I just do a few plants?Make sure you deal with your indoor grow separately you don’t want to be carrying any bugs from the ones outside indoors.
Good luck
I put some out in the middle of April last year, and everyone of them flowered. Northern California. I’ve heard that even a halfway strong porch light shining on them for a few hours after dusk can prevent it. But I don’t know from experience. I guess we will see!Several are possible males and the small ones have been mistreated their whole life. I'm not expecting much. Will they start? We've got over 13 hrs of light now I think. Oh man I know I'm just going to fuck something up. I'll crank up the porch light, it's on a timer. Great advice! I didn't even think about that. Fish and molasses for the greenery today. After getting Hermed last year when I was a little “casual” with light after dark, you should see my grow room now. It’s ridiculous. Not just covered windows, but weatherstrip on the hall door and a tarp over the tent. I ain’t playin!
No night vision goggles yet, though. I draw the line there!
You have a great point. I think most of them are males in the fabric pots, 3 or 4, and the others are my first tortured few. I'll crank up the light just in case. Dammit all! I think one or possibly two of my three plants are showing the first symptoms of revegging at 4.5 wks of flower. I don’t want revegging. I want flowers. My tent, which I was happy with in my first two grows, is now showing light leaks where there is stitching. After getting Hermed last year when I was a little “casual” with light after dark, you should see my grow room now. I can't do lights out through the day because that's when I work on my plants and plant room..I tried it once and I fked up my grow because of neglect. I either had to get at it real early or lights went out and I'd just let them go dry.....nope not for me........you may want a tent in a tent if you try that again through the day a 5x5 around a 4x4 or?Dammit all! It’s not one of the big brands so I guess I’ll look for recommendations for a 4’x4’ that is higher quality. I’m tall, so I might need to go with Gorilla with the height extension. My LED bar lamp is 480 true watts, I think that’ll be fine for a 4x4. That was the original plan (eventually sizing up to 4x4, I mean).
Any others I should consider?
Please kick me if I EVER talk about doing a dark cycle during daylight hours!! Bad idea, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Back to adding another layer of tent covering…. And extending an already extended grow.
Boo, that blows.Dammit all! I think one or possibly two of my three plants are showing the first symptoms of revegging at 4.5 wks of flower. I don’t want revegging. I want flowers. My tent, which I was happy with in my first two grows, is now showing light leaks where there is stitching.

Tent in a tent, hmmmmm......I can't do lights out through the day because that's when I work on my plants and plant room..I tried it once and I fked up my grow because of neglect. Very interesting idea! But I think I’ll just follow the sun cycle. No need to mock Mother Nature.I can't do lights out through the day because that's when I work on my plants and plant room..I tried it once and I fked up my grow because of neglect. More than you know, brah! I’m holding my breath, but I’m seeing smooth edged “sugar leaves.” And slowed bud growth. But the one not affected is growing like a house on fire!Boo, that blows.
In places where Power Companies have an off hours rates it can be huge savings to run lights on 6pm -6am or 10 am flower/veg. I like to be there at lights out and those off hours don't work for me and my power company only offers those off hour rates to big companies / corporations not home owners.Very interesting idea! Yep, the temperature angle was one thing that appealed to me about running a light all night then off during the day.I do 6 p.m. to 12 noon veg and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. flower. Rate charges in my area are calculated by multiplying watts by highest demand. Pulling 600 watts at night puts me in their cheapest rate.
Night temps are cooler so I can utilize outdoor cool air to cool the lung room if home air isn't doing it.
