Yep, the temperature angle was one thing that appealed to me about running a light all night then off during the day.

I happened to find some huge 55 gallon black bags at Kroger. After testing, I find that two layered almost completely blocks light from the 3 windows (😱) in my lung room. Couple minor adjustments with tape or staples will clear that up.

I don’t think local homes are offered off hours metering for electric svc. But my bill is gentle. I just stay away from summertime grows.
Whole setup added $25 a month to my bill.

Done

2 tents full bore with the 4500 sq ft dehu running and my bill went up a grand total of $70 lol I was like damn, my kids do worse than that leaving the TV’s on 😂

I do run the higher wattage light at the nighttime off peak hours, my supplier says 11pm to 7am is off peak so I run my flower tent 7pm to 7am

Veg tent runs 18/6 through the daytime

Finally put the critical x locktite in a fabric pot. It likes it.

First hairs, on the youngest plant, blueberry og! Is that a good sign? Good genetics? Strong plant? She popped up on March 14. None of the others have shown hairs yet.

If you are indoors, I think hairs are always a good sign. Are they autos? Looks like decision time is rapidly approaching!😄 I’ve never seen that cup in the pot approach. They look good!

They are not autos. The master kush was bagseed from a friend's grow, and the blueberry og was premium seed market non feminized. I kinda wanna do a blue dream and a super lemon haze in the scrogg, and all the others outside. What's the best way to transition from 18/6 to late April natural sun? I got more blue dreams, super lemon dawg, another blueberry og, critical locktite, and a few more of the dreggs from the first attempt that will all need to go out if they are confirmed females.

Oh yeah, when I transplanted into solo cups I wrote the plant info, name, date of planting, and date of germination on the top of the cups. The next transplant I cut the tops of the cups off and sleeved them over the plants to keep them from getting mixed up.

We'll, I'm down to just seven in the tent. Wondering if I should keep the scrog candidates in their three gallon pots. They are loving life and I want to flip soon. Any advice?

I won’t turn mine over to the natural sun only till late May or early June. But I have a long growing season. I will create enough problems for myself, without putting them out too early and having to go through a reveg. I am pretty gun shy about that. Some people go out earlier. Can depend on where in the country you are. Somebody that grows indoors will help you with that.

I'm worried about that too but I'm out of room

Leave the porch light on them for a few extra hours, and hope for the best. Make it a 300 W porch light! Lol

I'm in New Mexico so it's starting to warm up nicely. Got the porch light on.

Got another guy that grows outdoors in New Mexico. Huge pots. He seems to kill it. I think he is enzyme if I’m not mistaken. Another week or two and we will have 14 hours between sunup and sundown. Probably be OK then. I always like to err on the side of caution.

We'll, I still have 6 in the tent for a bit in case things go haywire. I've been working with a bud that has done it on the side for years but last year he did a big legal grow with huge fabric pots and did pretty good. The sun averages about 310 sunny days a year and high altitude helps the tricomes I hear.

I think he had like 500 plants. It was a beautiful vast field of green goodness. Did most of the prep just him and a buddy mostly. Got investers and the whole shebang. High super heavy duty chain link fence, screening, cameras. Very professional. He's a great guy.

Right on! A bunch of extra plants, and an experienced grower to help you out some. And the climate sounds pretty good also. I called that a recipe for success. in my opinion, with all those pros and few cons, you’d be crazy to pass up an opportunity to grow some outdoors. Especially if it’s legal.

Indoors is great. But everyone should get the opportunity to stand next to a two or 3 pound or more plant, outdoors in early November. Got to make those memories to take you to old age! Lol! I am working on them!

If you play your cards right, you can pretty much let mother nature do all the work. Lay in your years supply in November, and it’s a lot less stressful tinkering with indoors for the rest of the year!
