Hey Tolk Folk , i have a banana purple punch auto that is stacked out and full of THC , the stigma hairs are brownish orange and leaves are starting to yellow in small amounts. I have started noticing a few amber trichomes popping up here n there , so question is should I Flush ? Im hearing mixed opinions.
This my first grow so please go easy on me

Plant looks very nice! IMHO, you've got a couple weeks to go. Flushing will make the yellowing worse, no reason for it. I do see a little foxtailing on third pic, not a problem, just don't wait for all those pistils to turn, or it will never finish.

Yes flush, last week of flush I give 13 hr light till cut. Helps let lil lady fill out.

For what it's worth, I'm a soil grower and I don't flush and the stuff tastes great. In the world of dentistry, they bicker about whether warm gutta percha or lukewarm gutta percha is better for filling a root canal. Both sides have scientific research to make their case. And apparently, so does the debate on whether to flush or not flush.

But all that silliness aside, I just want to say that plant came out gorgeous. Whatever you did, keep on doing it!

Thanks for the reply, so that was taken 14th and she was fed normally until 17th then I started to flush her ( still unsure if its best ) and she will go now until 29th when I plan to put her in 48 hours of darkness ( also unsure) then harvest on the 1st. She has a around 10-15% amber now and she looks maxed out on everything else. So you reckon Flushing will have a effect on the flower ? Her buds are huge so I'm not worried about yield...but I don't want it to effect potency.

Good job the plants look spectacular. It all depends on the effect you want if they are now 15% amber is a little early and has a more psychedelic effect if we let half 50% are amber is better harvest point and the effects are more sedative. Anyway the key is in the curing stage because it takes two or three months of curing cannabis to reach its full potential of flavors and terpenes.

Thanks šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼ so my dilemma is i go away on the 12th of August and I need to dry before I go, I'm having to harvest these autoflowers later than I had originally planned but nature didn't give a s#@t about my plans so now I kinda have very little choice. Im ok with the more psychedelic effects but I would of preferred this Banana be more sedative.

Hey did you chop it? Very well done grow on your first auto. To me your plant is well into harvest window. I'd be more concerned about harvesting now like you said. Plenty of time to dry and get a cure going before leaving. I've never had autos dry past 7 days. How long are you gone for?

2 weeks šŸ˜Ž enough time for it to cure a little. I have 3 other plants that are not far behind her but they will have go down to.... I'm giving everything 5-6 days more then I have little choice but to chop them all down. Im going for a 60/60 dry if I cn keep it that way and hoping for a 10-12 day dry ... a lot of hoping going on at the moment šŸ™ 🤣
