I'm not afraid to admit that I'm definitely out of my element with Autos, first Auto i grew had issue in flower also. I was using only 2 gallon pot for that 1 so probably root problems alsoMan that's weird looking. Good going finding out early, sorry it's a auto though hopefully it won't bother the growth going forward.
must be kinda root bound then newty, with the roots growing out like that. maybe try a ph adjusted nutrient mix next when the soil drys out. at like 6.4 ph. run it through the pot to little run off. like 10 percent run off. if the soil ph is off in the pot there this will bring it back in range.Well crap....
Biggest plant had a droop this morning, I came home from work and it's pretty sad now.....
Hopefully just stress, maybe overwatered
I'm hoping the roots in the pot are strong enough to keep her going, pot was a bit dry do to the roots inhibiting water uptake through the wicks so some root damage in the medium is definitely a possibility.
The smaller, bushier plant on the left side of the tent has really surprised me though, had such a rough start with slow, weird growth from the stuck membrane but she really impressed me with how she fought through it to become what she is now.

I need to get something to test ph. Once I can test soil ph, I have phosphoric acid to lower it if needed.must be kinda root bound then newty, with the roots growing out like that. maybe try a ph adjusted nutrient mix next when the soil drys out. at like 6.4 ph. run it through the pot to little run off. like 10 percent run off. if the soil ph is off in the pot there this will bring it back in range.
yeah makes sense on the roots growing down bud. silica normally does raise the ph. yeah i cant see why the roots wouldnt start filling the top soil up. just after make sure you keep nutrients going. like water nutrients water. you can get the ph test kits.I need to get something to test ph. On another note, I used Armor Si (Silica) in both auto grows with issues. Maybe that is also having a negative effect
I use Silica for my photoperiods also but a different brand.
I'm almost thinking the root system was in the bottom of the pot.
I didn't top water much so the roots probably grew right to the bottom 1/3 or the pot rather then growing throughout the whole pot like when top watering.
I kind of want to dig down a little and see but don't want to cause anymore stress.
The pot was dry and possibly for a few days, the roots kept the wicks from soaking up water.
Idk what kind of damage the roots in the pot have from being dry and the fact I removed the roots from the base means I could of cut off the main feeding roots. Hopefully there's enough healthy roots to get her going again.
If the top of the pot is lacking roots, they should be able to grow back up into the medium.
Oh hell, did you kill her? Where's the update?Well crap....

I'll post a pic when I get home but she still looks like she did before.Oh hell, did you kill her? Where's the update?
Hey Newty if you dont get any hits here, you can jump over to the train wreck and do an “all call” for help lol. I did that once as apposed to waiting for help in my other thread. I can get a little “antsy in my pantsy” some times hahaha!Bumping this because I need to water these plants and don't know if I should be adding Phosphoric Acid to lower ph since the tests in my last post show 6.5 - 7.0 ph and proper soil ph range is 6.0 - 6.8
I was thinking the plant was showing Calcium toxicity and had Alkaline Soil.
6.5 - 7.0 is the higher of the ph range for soil so availability of CalMag is higher, maybe lowering will be beneficial so the availability isn't as high
I appreciate the tip man.Hey Newty if you dont get any hits here, you can jump over to the train wreck and do an “all call” for help lol. I did that once as apposed to waiting for help in my other thread. I can get a little “antsy in my pantsy” some times hahaha!
Thats all I can help with at this point.
im sure you’ve spent some time reading through auto threads : )I appreciate the tip man.
Not really antsy, I didn't really get the help I needed for the 1st auto I had issues with so now it's happening again.
I see members get the help they need to correct deficiency and toxicity issues all the time but I guess maybe I'm posting something wrong?
I did get a couple extra insights on this thread this time (thank you to those members) but still feel like I'm hanging...
Sure have.im sure you’ve spent some time reading through auto threads : )
that sounds like a messSure have.
When I took the soil samples last night, the roots ball only came out from the center of plant a few inches, no roots to the edge of the pot, was like that all the way to the lower 1/3 where the most of the roots are.
1st Auto try was a 2 gallon pot.
Maybe root bound issues
I still had that soil slurry I made last night, I stirred it up and tested again this morning and said 6.5 again.
I decided to test some other solutions to make sure the color actually changes with different ph levels.
My tap water comes in around 7.5 - 8.0
My plants get tap water filtered through a Zero Water filter, I tested the tap water ph after going through filter and it sits around 6.0-6.5.
I then tested the water I mixed up and gave them a few days ago that only has Liquid Karma and Pure Blend Tea into it, ph test was around 6.5.
Maybe I should have been more specific. I meant a pic of your plant.I stopped by my local supply store and they had 2 ph style tests, 1 for soil and 1 for water, I bought both.
Soil samples were taken in several different spots.
I mixed up the soil one with distilled water and it looks like ph of around 7.
The water one is General Hydroponics.
I mixed soil to distilled water using 1:1 ratio.
Stirred every 5-10 minutes for 1.5 hours.
Strained through a coffee filter.
Test looks to be a ph of about 6.5
Each test was repeated with same results.

I believe roots are my main issue at this point.Have you been saturating all of the medium with each watering? Roots won't grow into dry soil.
