. The red on the wood peckers is the only way I see them most times! You'll hear them loud, and then look up in the trees and see nothing... until you see that bright red.
That's a good spot, because of the bench the animals hang out around there waiting for someone to drop some crisps or a bit of fried chicken then its a free for all

There are LOTS of them. Never counted, but in the spring you'll see 10-15 on the outside and around the nests.

It is a monk parrot! They are in all 5 boroughs of nyc, and my buddy in Chicago said they might be there too.
I never thought about the fire hazzard they create... especially since those bulbs get hot as hell. I don't know if they switched them to LED, but i know they used to be metal halide.
