Those parrots stay in the nests for the winter. They have loads of them by the baseball field. They nest up in the lights. Start seeing them again in the spring.

I got some pictures of a nest, just got to find them

She’s looking nice Cheesy a lot of work has gone into it the powder coating will get worn off after 3 rides but she lookin shmick for an older bike near brand new lookin few bent fins on the radiator I done that when I first got my bike was pressure cleaning not paying attention

Nah not yet man boy still at tafe and it looks like it may be our last warm weekend before our 8 month winter sets in so I’m goin swimming bbq and beers this weekend so riding put off till next weekend yea I got some awesome trails within 5 minute drive from here so no excuse

Thanks, just love. Those squirrels are some greedy creatures, but they do look nice . In some parks where they have more access to people they get pretty brazen. Sneak up on your shoulder and snatch a cheese and onion crisp out of your hand .

The ones on the street run up a tree if you look at them funny.

I think the nest is a monk parrot. Had some out here. A bunch got loose in NYC. The giant nest catch fire sometimes, or the birds get electrocuted during rains. Pretty cool to see.

I haven't but that sounds like a good show for some munchies ideas . The red on the wood peckers is the only way I see them most times! You'll hear them loud, and then look up in the trees and see nothing... until you see that bright red.
That's a good spot, because of the bench the animals hang out around there waiting for someone to drop some crisps or a bit of fried chicken then its a free for all .

It is a monk parrot! They are in all 5 boroughs of nyc, and my buddy in Chicago said they might be there too.
I never thought about the fire hazzard they create... especially since those bulbs get hot as hell. I don't know if they switched them to LED, but i know they used to be metal halide.
I'm usually the only thing smoking when I'm near the nests
